  • Publication number: 20230301958
Abstract: The present invention relates to satraplatin for use in a method of treating a malignancy of the lymphoid tissue in a mammal, preferably a human, and in particular of a malignancy of the lymphoid tissue with primary or secondary central nervous system (CNS) manifestation such as primary diffuse large B cell lymphoma of the CNS.

  • Publication number: 20130031782
Abstract: A method for producing a piston for an internal combustion engine, which piston has a piston head, an annular portion and a piston skirt which has two opposite piston pin bosses, shaft recesses being made into the regions of the radially outer end faces of the piston pin bosses during the final machining of the outer surface of the piston blank, the recesses extending in the radial direction. The final machining of the outer surface of the piston blank, including the shaping of the grooves into the annular portion and the shaping of the skirt recesses into the piston skirt, is carried out using a lathe, the position of the turning tool thereof being freely programmable depending on the rotational position of the piston.

  • Publication number: 20130000120
Abstract: A method for producing an aluminum piston for an internal combustion engine, which piston is designed as a round skirt piston. In the region of the radially outer end faces of the piston pin bosses the piston skirt has skirt recesses extending in the direction of the piston axis. In order to be able, when using the piston, to produce skirt recesses that have any shape a piston blank is produced in a forging process using a forging die, which piston blank has inner faces that are complementary to the outer shape of the piston having skirt recesses and not-recessed regions of the piston skirt, and the piston blank can then be further machined to produce the aluminum piston.

  • Patent number: 5785559
Abstract: A connector assembly comprises a housing and a secondary locking member for coupling to a complementary connector assembly comprising a housing and a secondary locking member. The housing comprises a central coding cavity that allows insertion therethrough of prismatic coding bars that extend from the secondary locking member. The complementary connector housing similarly comprises a through cavity to allow passage therein of a coding bar of the secondary locking member that is complementary to the coding bar. The secondary locking member can be assembled to the connector housing within a shroud in a preassembled position and then shifted in the direction D to the fully assembled locked position. Similarly, the secondary locking member of the complementary connector can be inserted in the shroud in a preassembled position and then shifted in the direction of arrow D to the fully locked position.

  • Patent number: 5595499
Abstract: A coaxial connector plug includes an inner insulating housing carrying a coaxial connector pin, where an outer grounding spring is positioned coaxially around the housing. The grounding spring is positioned within a sleeve member and a locking spring and outer sleeve are axially moveable between positions where locking arms of the locking spring are moveable to a position where a front edge of the locking arms is engaged with a corresponding surface of the sleeve member. The locking arms also include a locking projection which will reside in a peripheral groove of a mating jack connector when fully inserted thereto.

  • Patent number: 5494450
Abstract: An electrical connector is comprised of an outer housing having a rack and pinion lever, where the outer housing can receive in sliding engagement an inner housing. The inner housing carries a plurality of receptacle contacts and a plurality of shunt contacts disposed above selected contacts. The shunt spring has a base wall including individual shunt contact springs having a projection which extends through a window of a central wall to make shunt contact with adjacent electrical terminals positioned therebeneath.

  • Patent number: 4533081
Abstract: A heating and ventilation unit for a motor vehicle comprises a mixing chamber containing a heat exchanger and disposed within the vehicle interior. Pipe connections extending from the heat exchanger pass through the rear wall of the mixing chamber. An aperture in a wall of the mixing chamber is provided for enabling the heat exchanger to be withdrawn from the mixing chamber into the vehicle interior. The aperture is formed in a side wall of the chamber and is dimensioned to permit passage of the heat exchanger as well as the rearwardly projecting connections. A closure and support element is provided which is insertable through the aperture and which, when inserted, serves to support the heat exchanger within the chamber and prevent forward displacement of the exchanger away from the rear wall of the mixing chamber.

  • Patent number: 4475445
Abstract: A housing for a heating or air conditioning unit for a motor vehicle is provided, which housing is disposed under the windshield at the middle of the vehicle and includes portions extending adjacent the lower or passenger foot region. This housing is provided with air outlet nozzles for directing warm (or cooled) air into the passenger foot region. The housing includes two upper housing parts separated by a separation plane extending perpendicular to the vehicle travel direction and a lower foot level housing part for the air outlets at the foot level. These three separate housing parts are form fittingly assembled together by slidably interengageable housing parts. With this arrangement, the foot level housing part can be assembled with the other housing parts without the need of additional work tools and is so integrated into the complete housing assembly that, with the slidable connection of the housing parts together, the foot level housing part is also securely and rigidly assembled.
