  • Publication number: 20220019713
Abstract: Computer-implemented methods and processing systems for estimating a probability of failure for different severity levels for an Automated Driving System (ADS) feature in a virtual test environment are provided. The estimation of a probability of crash of different severities may be enabled by utilizing a limit state function (LSF) that attains increasingly negative or positive values after crash (e.g., when TTC=0 or PET=0). This may be achieved by defining a function for severity that is more negative for more severe crashes. The LSF may include a function of the delta speed at collision (i.e., minus delta speed at collision).

  • Patent number: 10606616
Abstract: A method for control in a process control system, where a graphical user interface of said process control system is arranged with graphic representations of one or more control objects for monitoring and/or control of a process or an equipment. The control system GUI is displayed by a control system client application on a computer or workstation. In addition, one or more applications for monitoring and/or controlling at least one said control object are run in a computing process environment separate from said process control system. No code components execute in the same processing space as that running the GUI for the process control system. Any flaw or error in the extended applications cannot affect the control system program controlling an industrial process in real-time. A control system and a computer program are also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 10152551
Abstract: A method performed in a processing unit for determining calibration data to be used when processing data from a sensor unit connected to the processing unit, the method including receiving, from the sensor unit, an identifier which identifies and is calculated based on calibration data stored in the sensor unit, checking if there is an identifier stored in the processing unit identical to the received identifier, where the identifier stored in the processing unit identifies and is calculated based on calibration data stored in the processing unit, if an identical identifier is stored in the processing unit, using the calibration data stored in the processing unit identified by the identical identifier when processing data from the sensor unit, if no identical identifier is stored in the processing unit, requesting the sensor unit to transmit calibration data, and using the requested calibration data when processing data from the sensor unit.

  • Patent number: 9921856
Abstract: A method performed in a processing unit for finding settings to be used in relation to a sensor unit connected to the processing unit is disclosed. The method comprises inter alia receiving, from the sensor unit, a first identifier identifying a type of the sensor unit, and a second identifier identifying a group of at least one related type of sensor unit. If no settings associated with the first identifier are stored in the processing unit, but settings associated with the second identifier are stored in the processing unit, the processing unit uses the settings associated with the second identifier in relation to the sensor unit.
