    Abstract: The invention is directed to the preparation and use of tolerogenic antigen presenting cells as a method of down-regulating an immune response in a patient who has an established immune-inflammatory condition or who is at risk of suffering from an immune-inflammatory condition. The tolerogenic antigen presenting cells re-educate patient's own defense cells not only to suppress secretion of cytokines that generates an inflammatory response, but also to stimulate the secretion of immunosuppressive agents to ameliorate debilitating immune effects.
