Patent number: 11587860Abstract: Die stacks and methods of making die stacks with very thin dies are disclosed. The die surfaces remain flat within a 5 micron tolerance despite the thinness of the die and the process steps of making the die stack. A residual flux height is kept below 50% of the spacing distance between adjacent surfaces or structures, e.g. in the inter-die spacing.Type: GrantFiled: March 8, 2020Date of Patent: February 21, 2023Assignee: International Business Machines CorporationInventors: John Knickerbocker, Bing Dang, Raymond Horton, Joana Maria

Publication number: 20220288017Abstract: The present disclosure relates to nitenin analogue compounds (of formulas I, II, III and IV) and their use as pharmaceutical agent in the treatment, prevention or reduction of both acute and chronic pain. The mode of action disclosed herein allows nitenin and nitenin analogue compounds to act as analgesic through reduction of K30 currents rather than their potentiation. Related to their high efficacy in the treatment of pain, these compounds are highly selective for slow voltage-activated potassium (K30 ) currents expressed in the small diameter dorsal root neurons (sDRGns), mainly on those mediated by the voltage-dependent potassium channel (KV), KV1.3. Such findings, together with those showing that nitenin and nitenin analogue compounds act as activity dependent blockers also lead to very reduced side-effects.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 22, 2020Publication date: September 15, 2022Applicant: SEA4US - BIOTECNOLOGIA E RECURSOS MARINHOS, LDA.Inventors: Pedro Afonso DOS SANTOS BALTAZAR DE LIMA, Beatriz SZWARC DOS SANTOS, Ana Rosa MAÇO ABREU, André Emanuel PINHEIRO BASTOS, Rui GOMES, Marisa Isabel LOPES DE SOUSA, Joana Maria MONTEIRO SERRÃO, Sílvia Patrícia PENA LINO, Patrícia Isabel DA SILVEIRA MÁXIMO, Luísa Maria PINTO FERREIRA, Paula Cristina DE SÉRIO BRANCO, Henrique SOVELA MOURÃO, Vanessa Alexandra ROSADO SABINO, Ming HIM TONG, Laurent Alain CLAUDETREMBLEAU, Ana Maria FERREIRA DA COSTA LOURENÇO, Miguel Angelo SEGÃO MONDRAGÃO

Publication number: 20220280474Abstract: The present patent application relates to the use of antagonists of delayed rectifier potassium (K+) channels, more specifically Kv1.3 antagonists, as pharmaceutical agents in the treatment, prevention or reduction of both acute and chronic pain. The results and mode of action disclosed herein describe how Kv1.3 antagonists may act as analgesics through reduction of K+ currents rather than their potentiation. With regard to their high efficacy in the treatment of pain, these compounds are highly selective for slow delayed rectifier voltage-activated potassium (K+) currents. Such findings, together with those showing that nitenin, PSORA-4, PAP-1 and AM92016 hydrochloride act as K+ channel blockers and by their effects on K+ current inactivation profiles, also translate into an analgesic effect with reduced side effects. The results disclosed herein show that compounds that inhibit delayed rectifying Kv1.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 22, 2020Publication date: September 8, 2022Inventors: Pedro Afonso DOS SANTOS BALTAZAR DE LIMA, Beatriz SZWARC DOS SANTOS, Ana Rosa MAÇO ABREU, André Emanuel PINHEIRO BASTOS, Rui GOMES, Marisa Isabel LOPES DE SOUSA, Joana Maria MONTEIRO SERRÃO, Sílvia Patrícia PENA LINO, Patrícia Isabel DA SILVEIRA MÁXIMO, Luísa Maria PINTO FERREIRA, Paula Cristina DE SÉRIO BRANCO, Henrique SOVELA MOURÃO, Vanessa Alexandra ROSADO SABINO, Ming HIM TONG, Laurent Alain CLAUDETREMBLEAU, Ana Maria FERREIRA DA COSTA LOURENÇO, Miguel Angelo SEGÃO MONDRAGÃO
