    Abstract: A multi-dimensional model can be displayed according to a lighting state. A multi-dimensional model includes one or more lights. A lighting state includes a set of settings for the one or more lights. The lighting state can be applied to the multi-dimensional model in order to view the multi-dimensional model under the one or more lights, such that the settings of the lights are determined by the applied lighting state. Information about the lighting state is maintained separately from information about the multi-dimensional model.
