Abstract: A pressure cooker utilizes a housing fan for circulating air within a housing. In some instances, the housing fan may be used to generate a generally downward flow of air through the housing, which may be used, for example, to cool a pressure cooker crock, or to draw in smoke and/or steam generated by some types of cooking operations. In some instances, at least a portion of the airflow may be within an outer chamber defined between the crock and an inner housing wall of the housing, and in some instances, a reversible housing fan may be used to support both upward and downward airflow through the housing.
