  • Patent number: 7001302
Abstract: A differential drive having a drive housing in which a differential carrier (14) is rotatably supported around its longitudinal axis (A). The drive has sideshaft gears (18, 19) which are supported so as to be rotatable relative to the differential carrier (14) around the axis (A), and differential gears (22) which are supported in the differential carrier rotatably around axes (R) extending radially relative to the longitudinal axis (A), which engage the sideshaft gears (18, 19) and which rotate together with the differential carrier (14). The differential carrier (14) forms journals (16, 17) which extend co-axially relative to the longitudinal axis (A) and by means of which the differential carrier (14) is rotatably supported in the sideshaft gears (18, 19) and wherein the sideshaft gears (18, 19), in turn, are rotatably supported in the drive housing.

  • Patent number: 6227978
Abstract: A constant velocity tripode joint is disclosed as having an outer joint part with an inner aperture and with uniformly circumferentially distributed recesses which widen the inner aperture and each of which include two opposed tracks. An inner joint part includes a center piece and three uniformly distributed tripode arms arranged radially relative to the center piece and each of which extends into one of the recesses. A roller assembly is mounted on each arm and in rolling contact with the tracks of the respective recess. Each roller assembly comprises at least two rollers that are independently rotatable relative to their respective tripode arm and that are at least indirectly supported on the tripode arm in the radial direction relative to the arm axis. A first roller rolls on the first of the two tracks and is spaced from the other track. A second roller rolls on the other one of the two tracks and is spaced from the first track.

  • Patent number: 5031672
Abstract: A nozzle control device for an air weaving loom has a weft thread insertion by one or more main nozzles and a feed advance of the yarn in the air insertion channel by relay nozzles arranged one behind the other at the weaving reed. The relay nozzles are controlled in groups and in sequence in an impulse type manner in such a way that the thread tip zone is seized by the air stream and the thread is pulled through the air insertion channel. The control of the relay nozzles of an air weaving machine is accomplished in such a way that in sequential work steps substantially different types of yarns can be woven with a high quality. For this purpose the durations of air impulses supplied to the relay nozzles arranged in groups, are controlled as a function of yarn specific values modified by a currently measured air effectiveness of the respective yarn being processed.

  • Patent number: 4784005
Abstract: A crank drive has four axes extending in space and intersecting in a common point. The angles between two neighboring axes are adjustable as required. These angles are enclosed between the drive shaft and the power take-off shaft and between intermediate axes. Thus, it is possible to superimpose different individual operational sequences on one another to realize complicated transmission functions. Such so-called "spacial" crank drives are, for example, suitable for shuttleless looms having gripper rods. In such a loom the present spacial crank drive permits the adjustment of the displacement or insertion stroke of the gripper rods and the simultaneous adapting of the end positions of the gripper rods to the individual requirements while still maintaining the pause durations and permitting, if necessary, different feed advance speeds for the individual gripper rods.

  • Patent number: 4619627
Abstract: A shaft coupling assembly having a first and a second internal fluid chamber system, each containing therein a fluid medium which is placed under pressure when torque is transmitted through the coupling assembly, each of the fluid chamber systems including a plurality of chambers and a plurality of channels which converge from a common point placing the channels in flow communication with each other and which interconnect the plurality of chambers of each of the systems. The channels of the first and the second systems are axially offset relative to each other and each of the systems is designed to create a throttling effect offering resistance to flow of the fluid medium within each of the systems. The coupling assembly enables compensation for axial, radial, angular and/or torsional shaft offset and, additionally, makes it possible to damp the vibrations in an axial, radial, angular and torsional direction and to adjust the stiffness of the coupling assembly.

  • Patent number: 4591212
Abstract: A bearing assembly particularly for the wheel of a motor vehicle wherein a wheel hub and a part of a universal joint are arranged in torque-transmitting engagement, the assembly including an inner race member formed by at least one of the wheel hub and the part of the universal joint in torque-transmitting engagement therewith and an outer race member adapted to be connected with the wheel carrier of the motor vehicle. First and second inner bearing tracks are formed in the inner race member and first and second outer bearing tracks are formed in the outer race member. A first and a second plurality of rolling elements are disposed in operative load-bearing engagement between the first inner and outer bearing tracks and the second inner and outer bearing tracks, respectively, and the outer race member is formed in two separate parts, one part having the first outer bearing track therein and the other part having the second outer bearing track therein.

  • Patent number: 4571099
Abstract: A bearing assembly for a wheel hub driven from a universal joint including an outer race attached to the wheel carrier of a motor vehicle having first and second outer bearing tracks thereon and an inner race having first and second inner bearing tracks thereon, the first bearing tracks being formed by a tubular projection of the universal joint and the second bearing tracks being formed by a tubular projection of the wheel hub. First and second bearing elements are interposed respectively betwen the first inner and outer tracks and the second inner and outer tracks and a sleeve extending within inner juxtaposed surfaces formed by the first and second tubular projections operates to place the universal joint in torque-transmitting engagement with the wheel hub and to restrain the tubular projections against relative axial displacement.
