Patents by Inventor Jochen Friedrich Knauer

Jochen Friedrich Knauer has filed for patents to protect the following inventions. This listing includes patent applications that are pending as well as patents that have already been granted by the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).

  • Patent number: 11319223
Abstract: An apparatus for preparing and dispensing a flocculant solution to dewatering an aqueous process stream includes a mixing pump, a maturing tank, and a feeding unit. The mixing pump mixes the flocculant solution and builds up a pressure onto the flocculant solution. The maturing pressure tank is fluidly connected with the mixing pump, so that the pressurized diluted flocculant solution is led from the mixing pump into the maturing pressure tank and matured therein under pressure that is above atmosphere pressure.

    Assignee: Ecolab USA Inc.
Inventors: José Rafael Hernández Carucci, Jochen Friedrich Knauer, Alan Smith
  • Patent number: 10227248
Abstract: An apparatus for treating slurries, in particular biogenic or industrial slurries, can include at least one treatment rotor which is arranged or can be arranged in the slurry and which rotates or is rotatable about an axis of rotation (R), with treatment elements which project outward, as seen from the axis of rotation (R), and between which interspaces are formed, at least some of the treatment elements having, at—at least one, preferably each—adjacent interspace, in each case at least one treatment edge, preferably at least two treatment edges spaced apart from one another, each of these treatment edges running from the inside outward, as seen from the axis of rotation. Methods for treating slurries are also disclosed, including methods using the apparatus for treating slurries.

  • Patent number: 9744505
Abstract: A stirrer having a motor; a hollow shaft that is drivable via the motor and is provided with at least one additive outlet opening, via which an additive passed through the hollow shaft can be discharged; and a rotor arranged on the hollow shaft and having rotor blades, characterized in that a second rotor having rotor blades is provided on the hollow shaft at a distance from the first rotor, and in that the at least one additive outlet opening is provided between the two rotors, wherein the rotors are designed and drivable such that, during operation, a negative pressure and a centrifugal force are generated in the intermediate space defined between the rotors.

  • Publication number: 20170233268
Abstract: The present invention relates to an apparatus (1), suitable for preparing and dispensing a flocculant solution to dewatering an aqueous process stream (4), wherein the apparatus (1) comprises a mixing pump (5) that mixes the flocculant solution and builds up a pressure onto the flocculant solution, and a maturing pressure tank (2), whereby the maturing pressure tank (2) is fluidly connected with the mixing pump (5), so that the pressurized diluted flocculant solution (3) is led from the mixing pump (5) into the maturing pressure tank (2) and matured therein under pressure that is above atmosphere pressure.
