  • Patent number: 12356977
Abstract: A method is provided for applying a spray agent onto an agricultural area using a spray nozzle unit of an agricultural sprayer. The method includes: detecting a first field section using an optical detection unit to obtain a first piece of image information from the first field section; identifying plants in a first evaluation area of the first piece of image information obtained for the first field section using a control unit; ascertaining a first plant index of the first evaluation area using the plants identified in the first evaluation area using the control unit; and applying the spray agent in a defined minimum volume per unit area onto the entire first field section and onto an entire second field section adjoining the first field section in the direction of movement of the agricultural sprayer as a function of the first plant index ascertained using the spray nozzle unit.

  • Publication number: 20210176976
Abstract: A method is provided for monitoring and/or controlling a deployment process of a spray liquid having a defined active agent concentration at at least one spray nozzle unit of a spray device for deploying the spray liquid for agricultural purposes. The method includes: receiving at least one property signal including a piece of property information of the spray liquid detected with the aid of a sensor unit of the spray device in a through-flow area of the spray nozzle unit, an active agent concentration in the spray liquid being ascertainable using the property information; and outputting an information signal to a display unit and/or a control signal to the spray nozzle unit as a function of the received property information of the spray liquid and/or of an active agent concentration in the spray liquid ascertained using the property information, in order to monitor and/or to control the deployment process.

  • Publication number: 20200281185
Abstract: The invention relates to a discharge unit (10?) for discharging a final liquid having a defined final mixing ratio, in particular for agricultural purposes, having a first pre-mixing unit (12), which is designed to mix a first liquid with a first carrier liquid, in particular water, to form a first pre-diluted liquid having a first defined pre-mixing ratio, a second pre-mixing unit (14), which is designed to mix a second liquid with a second carrier liquid, in particular water, to form a second pre-diluted liquid having a second defined pre-mixing ratio, and a final mixing unit (20), which is designed to mix the first pre-diluted liquid with the second pre-diluted liquid to form the final liquid to be discharged having a defined final mixing ratio.

  • Publication number: 20200253184
Abstract: A spraying device for deploying liquids for agricultural purposes. The spraying device includes at least one spray nozzle for spraying the liquid and at least one mixing device, which includes at least one mixing chamber, at least one first inflow for a carrier liquid, at least two second inflows for different active agent liquids, and at least one outflow connected to the spray nozzle, connecting to the mixing chamber. It is provided that an actuatable valve is associated with each of the inflows. A device is also provided which actuates the valves during intended use in such a way that a constant volume flow results in the outflow regardless of the actuation of the valves/switching of the inflows.

  • Publication number: 20200253185
Abstract: A spray device for deploying liquids, in particular for agricultural purposes. The spray device includes at least one spray nozzle for spraying the liquid and includes at least one mixing unit, which encompasses at least one mixing chamber. The mixing chamber includes at least one first inlet for a carrier liquid, at least one second inlet for an active agent liquid, and at least one outlet. The mixing unit encompasses at least one control member for setting a mixing ratio of carrier liquid and active agent liquid. The control member is rotatably mounted in the mixing chamber, a through-flow cross-section of at least the first inlet and/or the second inlet being set depending on the rotation position of the control member.

  • Publication number: 20200206770
Abstract: A device for dispensing a spraying agent, e.g., a plant protection agent, includes a mixing unit for mixing two active agents to form a spraying agent, at least one of the active agents being suppliable to the mixing unit under pressure via a throttle unit, the throttle unit including a feed channel and a discharge channel that are fluidically connectable to each other via at least one throttle channel depending on a position of a throttle element of the throttle unit that is movably situated relative to the feed channel the discharge channel for setting a flow rate of the at least one active agent to be supplied to the mixing unit, the at least one throttle channel being situated at the throttle element and having a fixed channel cross section for keeping the through-flowing flow rate of the at least one active agent constant.

  • Publication number: 20200170236
Abstract: A method for applying a spray agent is described, in particular, a plant protection product, onto an agricultural area to be treated with the aid of a spraying device, including a spray agent tank and at least one fluidic connecting line from the spray agent tank to a nozzle. The method includes the following steps: selectively applying the spray agent onto an initial section of the agricultural area, and subsequently extensively applying a residual amount of spray agent onto a residual section of the agricultural area using a predefined application amount in such a way that, upon completion of the treatment of the agricultural area, essentially the entire residual amount of spray agent has been applied.
