  • Patent number: 8402729
Abstract: A vehicle for harvesting espalier fruit, such as berries or grapes, and for further processing to a must on the vehicle. The vehicle comprises a frame configured to reach over a row of plants to be harvested in an area of a u-shaped recess of the vehicle. Also included are wheels on both sides of the u-shaped recess and arranged on the frame. Further included is a picking device to separate the fruit from a remainder of the plants. A solid-bowl screw-type centrifuge is arranged directly on the vehicle, which solid-bowl screw-type centrifuge separates and clarifies a fruit mash into at least a solids phase and a liquid phase.

  • Publication number: 20120091060
Abstract: A filtration method for a filtration device, the filtration device including a process tank, at least one feed line feeding a medium to be processed into the process tank, and at least one filtration arrangement arranged in the process tank. The process tank includes at least one drain and is configured such that filtration of the medium is accomplished such that a retentate remains in the process tank until the retentate is released after completion of the filtration. The filtration method includes the steps of: filling the process tank with the medium to be filtered and producing one of a predefined transmembrane pressure and constant permeate flow at the at least one filtration arrangement; and filtering the medium in the process tank via the at least one filtration arrangement until a predefined limit value for a mass fraction of solid material is reached.

  • Patent number: 7008365
Abstract: A centrifuge that includes a centrifugal drum having a solids collecting chamber arranged below a bottom of the centrifugal drum. Also included is an oscillation measuring device for recording oscillations of the centrifugal drum. Further included is a medium situated in the solids collecting chamber. Also included is at least one feeler element that protrudes beyond the bottom of, and is connected to the centrifugal drum. When the medium level rises in the solids collecting chamber, the at least one feeler element is contacted by the medium before the medium contacts the centrifugal drum. The contact results in uncritical oscillations that are analyzed by the oscillation measuring device.

  • Patent number: 6969343
Abstract: A centrifuge, comprising a distributor for introducing material to be centrifuged and a sieve system having a plurality of axially mutually offset membrane plates, the membrane plates being arranged radially with respect to the distributor and having at least two axially-spaced membrane disks. The sieve system is arranged such that a flow directions of material to be centrifuged emerging from the distributor and a flow direction of particles deposited on the membrane plates are identical. Alos included is centrifugal drum having a centrifugal compartment with the sieve system arranged therein and a piston slide valve for closing the centrifugal drum. The invention is also a method for cleaning the centrifuge, the steps comprising: opening a piston slide valve, thereby allowing a return flow of liquid through the sieeve system; and removeing one or more of substances baked to the sieve system and impurities from the sieve system.

  • Patent number: 6869389
Abstract: The present invention relates to a centrifuge that includes an inlet tube, a distributor, a centrifugal drum, a centrifugal chamber, a sieve and a solids collecting space. The present invention also relates to a method for cleaning the centrifuge including the step sieve opening the solids collecting space so that liquid from a liquid discharge space return flows through the sieve back into the solids discharge space, detaching one or more of solids and contaminants from the sieve and, discharging one or more of the solids and contaminants from the solids discharge space.

  • Publication number: 20030146146
Abstract: The invention relates to a centrifuge, especially a separator, with a feed tube (3) and/or a distributor (5) for feeding a material to be centrifuged into a centrifuge compartment (9) that is defined by a centrifugal drum (7) and in which a sieve system is disposed. The invention is further characterized in that the sieve system is designed and disposed in such a manner that the flow direction of the material to be centrifuged emerging from the distributor (5) and the flow direction of particles deposited on the sieve elements of the sieve system is identical. The invention further relates to a method for cleaning the centrifuge, according to which preferably a piston slide valve of the centrifuge is opened so that a return flow of liquid through the sieve system removes substances baked to the sieves and/or any impurities.
