  • Patent number: 4371321
Abstract: The invention relates to a metering pump for liquid and gaseous media, which is provided with a deformable tube for the medium to be conveyed. The pump casing accommodates a rotating member which squeezes the tube against an inside surface in the pump casing. The tube is guided around the rotating member constituting a main eccentric, through a looping angle of 360.degree.. A secondary eccentric, the diameter of which is smaller than the diameter of the main eccentric, is mounted on the shaft of the main eccentric. The main eccentric is a ball bearing, the outer race of which clings to the tube by surface adhesion during rotation of the shaft. The ball bearing is rotated with the rotating shaft, while the outer race performs a radial reciprocating motion, thus avoiding any flexing of the tube, which is merely cyclically compressed and released again.

  • Patent number: 4319826
Abstract: Disclosed is a process for developing a two-component diazocopying material, comprising the steps of providing a film of an ammonia-steam mixture or of an aqueous ammonia solution, respectively, flowing uniformly into the interior of an evaporation zone and being uniformly heated at the same time to release a developing gas in the evaporation zone; providing a liquid developing solution in a sump zone; evaporating a portion of the developing solution to produce a developing gas in the evaporation zone located above the sump zone, passing the diazocopying material through a developing zone; introducing the developing gas from the evaporation zone into the developing zone and contacting the diazocopying material with the developing gas in the developing zone; maintaining the temperature in the developing zone at a level higher than the temperature at which the developing gas enters from the evaporation zone; and maintaining the temperature in the sump zone at a level higher than the temperature in the evaporati

  • Patent number: 4317026
Abstract: This invention relates to an improvement in a developing chamber for developing a photographic recording material for use in the vesicular method, comprising a housing and pairs of feed and discharge rolls therein, the improvement comprising at least two heatable metal blocks within said housing at an adjustable distance with respect to each other, whereby a gap for passage of recording material is provided, sliding enhancing material means on areas of the blocks facing the gap, the sliding enhancing material means being inert to the recording material, and temperature control means ensuring low temperature variations in the blocks.

  • Patent number: 4313666
Abstract: This invention relates to an apparatus for developing light-sensitive recording materials with a vaporous developing medium in a developing chamber, comprising housing means having a vapor space therein, aperture means in said vapor space, external and internal pressure means adapted to close said aperture means, said external pressure means having a height of lift X and being equipped with heating means, said internal pressure means being adapted to close said aperture means in a gas-tight manner and having a height of lift Y which is greater than X, and vaporizer means connected to said vapor space.
