Jochen Neutz has filed for patents to protect the following inventions. This listing includes patent applications that are pending as well as patents that have already been granted by the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).

  • Patent number: 8233266
Abstract: Energy storage modules generally include a housing with component parts arranged therein. The component parts are in this case either capacitors, for example double-layer capacitors and/or electrolyte capacitors. According to the invention, a filler is provided in the housing and binds electrolyte liquid occurring in the even of damage or else electrolyte gases. Beds of material with a large specific surface area, such as zeolites or else active carbons, are suitable as fillers. The surfaces are also possibly catalytically coated.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: September 27, 2007
Date of Patent: July 31, 2012
    Assignee: Siemens Aktiengesellschaft
Inventors: Hans Heinrich Ebeling, Walter Ehrhardt, Andreas Fuchs, Markus Matthias Gaudenz, Alexander Hahn, Armin Keβler, Jochen Neutz, Karsten Rechenberg, Manfred Waidhas

  • Publication number: 20050192453
Abstract: The invention relates to a device and a method for disabling electronic devices in order to reliably prevent third parties from gaining unauthorized knowledge of data in the event of loss of the storage medium. The device comprises a gas generator, with a pyrotechnic propelling charge, disposed in the area of the storage medium. At least one fuel or at least one oxidator of the propelling charge releases, when the latter is triggered, well conducting metals, especially precious or semi-precious metals which are deposited on the electronic parts of the electronic device. According to the inventive method, the igniter can be triggered manually, by sensors or remote-controlled. The invention further relates to an electronic data processing system and a telephone comprising such a device.

  • Publication number: 20050145647
Abstract: The invention relates to a self-defence module comprising a housing containing a chamber that holds a free-flowing active medium and comprising a compressed gas source for spontaneously dispensing the active medium from the chamber. In order to be able to miniaturise the self-defence module, the compressed gas source is configured from a pyrotechnic gas generator and an ignition unit that interacts with the generator. According to the application, the ignition unit can be triggered manually or by a sensor. The invention also relates to the use of a self-defence module of this type for the protection of persons, buildings, means of transport or valuables.

  • Publication number: 20040237458
Abstract: A method for the protection or defence of moving objects or persons, characterized in that in the case of endangerment, at least one sleeve-type element is inflated from a collapsed space-saving state by means of a gas which is introduced into said sleeve or by means of a gas generated medium to form a barrier. In this way, efficient and flexible protection of systems, buildings or the like can be protected with non-lethal means. As a result, the inventive method or device suitable for carrying out said method can be used in a multiplicity of ways such as to prevent access or influence groups of persons at large public events.
