  • Patent number: 6794539
Abstract: In a process for preparing a multiplephase multimetal oxide composition comprising Mo, V, Cu and, if desired, further elements, at least one phase is preformed separately and dispersed in a plastically deformable precursor composition of a further phase. The mixture is dried and calcined. The multimetal oxide composition is suitable as active composition of catalysts for the catalytically oxidation of organic compounds in the gas phase, in particular for the oxidation of acrolein to acrylic acid.

  • Publication number: 20040171887
Abstract: A process prepares methacrolein from isobutane by subjecting isobutane to a partial catalytic dehydrogenation in the gas phase and using the isobutenic product gas mixture to charge an oxidation zone in which the isobutene is oxidized to methacrolein in the gas phase with heterogeneous catalysis using molecular oxygen accompanied by molecular nitrogen as the oxygen source.

  • Publication number: 20040082810
Abstract: In a process for the preparation of acrylic acid by heterogeneously catalyzed gas-phase oxidation of propene with molecular oxygen in a reaction zone, the catalytically active material is a multimetal oxide which contains the elements Mo, V, Te and/or Sb and has a specific structure.

  • Publication number: 20040063989
Abstract: Process for preparing at least one partial oxidation and/or ammoxidation product of propylene, in which the propylene is produced from crude propane by dehydrogenation and is subjected to a heterogeneously catalyzed gas-phase partial oxidation and/or partial gas-phase ammoxidation in the presence of unreacted propane as constituent of a gas mixture 2 containing <1% by volume of 1-butene.

  • Publication number: 20040063988
Abstract: In a process for preparing at least one partial oxidation and/or ammoxidation product of propylene, the propylene is obtained from crude propane by dehydrogenating and subjected in the presence of unconverted propane as a constituent of a gas mixture 2 which comprises a total C4-hydrocarbon content of ≦3% by volume to a heterogeneously catalyzed gas phase partial oxidation and/or partial gas phase ammoxidation.

  • Publication number: 20040054222
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for the heterogenically catalysed gas-phase partial oxidation of precursor compounds of (meth)acrylic acid in a fixed catalyst bed, containing as the catalyst an activated mass of mixed oxide, shaped to form a geometric body. Said geometric body is a geometric base body, into whose surface a cavity is incorporated.

  • Publication number: 20040015013
Abstract: A process for the heterogeneously catalyzed gas-phase partial oxidation of an organic compound over a fixed catalyst bed present in a fixed-bed reactor having a plurality of catalyst tubes, in which the reduction of the quality of the catalyst load with increasing duration of operation is restored by a partial catalyst change, is described.

  • Publication number: 20030181761
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for producing a multiple-phase multi-metal oxide material that contains Mo, V, Cu and, optionally, other elements. According to the invention, at least one phase is separately pre-formed and is dispersed in a plastically deformable precursor material of another phase. The mixture is then dried and calcined. The multi-metal oxide material is suited for use as an active material of catalysts for catalytically oxidizing organic compounds in the gas phase, in particular, for oxidizing acrolein into acrylic acid.
