  • Publication number: 20240066999
Abstract: A method for braking a vehicle driven by an electric driving engine is disclosed, wherein the braking is at least partially performed by the driving engine. The method includes generating a generator output by the driving engine by driving the driving engine in overrun mode by the vehicle, increasing a first voltage level, at which the driving engine is operated, to adjust the generator output to an amount required for the braking, and providing the generator output adjusted to the required amount.

  • Patent number: 11858303
Abstract: A communication interface is provided between a towing vehicle and a trailer, which are connected by a plurality of connectors compliant with standards selected from ISO12098, ISO7638, ISO1185, ISO3731, ISO11446. Digital signals are transmissible between the towing vehicle and the towed vehicle via an ISO11992-3 CAN bus. Pins on the towing vehicles are connected to pins on the towed vehicle by twisted pairs of wires adapted to carry a digital differential signal to provide higher speed data transmission between the vehicles.

  • Patent number: 11196363
Abstract: An apparatus controls a system of a plurality of motor units, which are operated by way of output-stage units. Fewer output-stage units than motor units are provided. The apparatus has a switching unit, which is configured to switch the one or more output-stage units between the motor units.

  • Patent number: 10050674
Abstract: A system and method for controlling communications between members of a tractor-trailer along a power line extending between the members are provided. The system includes an input signal conditioning circuit including an amplifier and conditioning stage configured to convert an analog input signal from the power line to a digital input signal. The system further includes a controller configured to receive the digital input signal, identify a communication protocol for the analog input signal from among a plurality of communication protocols responsive to the digital input signal and decode the digital input signal using the communication protocol. The controller may also identify a communication protocol for an output signal on the power line from among the plurality of communication protocols and encode a digital communication using the communication protocol.

  • Patent number: 6934874
Abstract: An electronic control system has a plurality of mutually networked or communicating control units, with special, redundant safeguarding measures during transmission of a safety-related transmitted signal from a first control unit to a second control unit. The first control unit generates the transmitted signal and a second signal complementary thereto on different paths, and sends them to a memory, together with two additional signals which are significant for the paths. A third control unit reads out the transmitted signal and the second signal from the memory, and checks them, and, upon detection of an error, switches off the first control unit or, given correct signals, generates different types of test or safety signals and conducts them to a memory.
