  • Patent number: 8427658
Abstract: A method for the automatic detection of at least one property of at least one replaceable component of an apparatus for the production of printed products is disclosed and such an apparatus and a system for the production of printed products are disclosed. The property of the component of the apparatus or of the system is detected by using an electronic device for a wireless detection of component-related data.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: February 12, 2009
Date of Patent: April 23, 2013
    Assignee: Siemens Aktiengesellschaft
Inventors: Bernhard Dirsch, Stephan Karl, Lothar Rettner, Jochen Schlinkert
  • Publication number: 20120245712
Abstract: A motion control system has a first motion controller, a second motion controller, a data bus connecting the first motion controller and the second motion controller for data transmission and a global time, wherein both first trace data of the first motion controller and second trace data of the second motion controller have a time stamp dependent on the global time.

  • Patent number: 7865649
Abstract: The invention relates to a module for reproducing a transmitter signal (xactE). A control device (1) is coupled to a driving device (4a) for controlling a machine while being coupled to the module (5, 5?) via a data bus (7) for exchanging data. A reproduced transmitter signal (xactEn) is determined from a reference value (xdes) that is predefined by the control device with the aid of the module (5, 5?). The module (5, 5?) is logically coupled to the control device (1) via the data bus (7) in such a way that the module (5, 5?) is projected in the same way as the driving device (4a) from the perspective of the control device (1). The inventive module (5, 5?) for reproducing a transmitter signal (xactE) thus makes it possible to project, start, and adjust the dynamics of the machine in a simple manner.

  • Patent number: 7376858
Abstract: The objective is to reduce the downtime of a printing system in the printing industry. Provision is therefore made to supply the drive regulators (3) of a printing system (1) simultaneously with a plurality of clock signals. Each of the drive regulators (3) independently selects one of the clock signals for synchronization. In the event of failure of a signal source, the printing system is not interrupted but the drive regulators (3) switch automatically to the clock still present.

  • Publication number: 20060272522
Abstract: The invention relates to a printing press and a method for operating a printing press comprising at least one print unit, a drive unit that is assigned to the print unit, a control unit at least for regulating a drive unit, and a print mark measuring device, register measuring device, or register mark measuring devices. The print mark measuring device, or the register measuring device is directly connected to the control unit provided at least for regulating a drive unit by means of a signal transmission means. The print mark measuring device directly transmits a print mark signal to the control unit, the control unit calculating a correction factor for regulating the movement of at least one drive unit such that the printing quality is improved.
