  • Publication number: 20240051544
Abstract: In a method for braking a vehicle with the aid of at least one electric machine, operated as a generator, of the vehicle, a torque generated by the electric machine is controlled by a damping control function in order to reduce a periodic deflection of a drive train, coupled to a rotor shaft of the electric machine, relative to the rotor shaft. Furthermore, a braking request signal representing a target braking torque is detected, a deactivation condition for deactivating the damping control function is identified on the basis of the braking request signal, the damping control function is deactivated when a deactivation condition is identified, a braking torque is generated based on the braking request signal by operating the electric machine as a generator, a reactivation condition for reactivating the damping control function is identified during the process of generating the braking torque, and the damping control function is reactivated when the reactivation condition is identified.

  • Patent number: 9540045
Abstract: In a method for assisting a driver of a motor vehicle during a driving maneuver, the surroundings of the motor vehicle are initially detected, at least one suitable trajectory for carrying out the driving maneuver is computed based on the detected surroundings, and the motor vehicle is automatically steered in order to carry out the driving maneuver. If there is a malfunction, the driver is informed, the automatic steering operation is terminated, and the driver receives information on the basis of which the driver may continue the driving maneuver.

  • Patent number: 9269270
Abstract: A method and device for supporting a driver of a motor vehicle during a driving maneuver during which longitudinal guidance and/or lateral guidance is/are performed in an automated manner. A trajectory for performing the driving maneuver being determined and the vehicle being guided with automatic control along the trajectory, while the surroundings of the vehicle is being monitored during the driving maneuver. If the driver intervenes in the steering while lateral guidance is being performed or if the driver operates the accelerator while longitudinal guidance is being performed or if the driver intervenes in the steering or operates the accelerator while longitudinal guidance and lateral guidance are being performed, the control of the vehicle is returned to the driver. In the case of an imminent endangerment to the surroundings, control is not transferred to the driver.

  • Publication number: 20140088836
Abstract: A method by which a setting, which corresponds to a type of parking space, of at least one side mirror of a motor vehicle is ensured during a parking operation, the method including at least the following: a. a control unit of the motor vehicle detects the type of parking space into which the motor vehicle is to be parked, b. the control unit initiates an adjustment of the side mirror to a setting which is adapted to the type of parking space detected in step a. if an instantaneous setting of the side mirror does not correspond to the setting which is adapted to the type of parking space detected in step a.

  • Publication number: 20130103246
Abstract: A method in a parking system for supporting parking using a longitudinal guidance and a transverse guidance, and to such a parking system. The method includes: calculating a parking trajectory having at least one stopping point; detecting, independently of the driver's actions, that the calculated stopping point has been reached; and, in reaction to the detection, providing a signal for a steering change for a steering controller. On a time axis there consequently takes place an initiation of a steering change in time period before a time at which the driver changes gear and independently of it.
