  • Publication number: 20070203614
Abstract: A vehicle control device activates an adjustable drive unit of a motor vehicle dependent upon at least one control signal. In a constant driving mode, a virtual control signal is created and used instead of the real control signal for activating the drive unit.

  • Publication number: 20060155452
Abstract: 1. Method for operating a drive train of a motor vehicle. 2.1. A torque which is output by a drive machine may be limited by a control device in order to protect a transmission. The object of the invention is to propose a method by means of which the transmission is protected against damage by excessively high temperatures. 2.2. The control device determines a maximum acceptable power (Pmax) from a characteristic curve (32) as a function of temperature information of the transmission. Using a rotational speed of the drive machine the control device determines from said maximum acceptable power (Pmax) a maximum acceptable torque (Mmax) to which the torque which is output by the drive machine is limited. 2.3. For use in a motor vehicle.

  • Patent number: 6295000
Abstract: A method for assessing actuations of the accelerator by a vehicle driver to detect the nervousness of the driver, the cumulative path covered by the accelerator, in terms of amount, being evaluated within a predefined time window when the change in velocity is less than a predetermined threshold value and/or the change in position of the accelerator is less than a predetermined threshold value within this time window. Furthermore, alternatively and/or additionally, the number of reversals of the algebraic sign of the time derivation of the accelerator position can be taken into account.

  • Patent number: 6216068
Abstract: A method for driver-behavior-adaptive control of a variably adjustable motor vehicle accessory. One or more parameters indicative of driver behavior are sensed and a pertinent driver behavior is ascertained therefrom. Accessory adjustment is performed variably as a function of the driver behavior that was ascertained. The driver behavior is ascertained in terms of a long-term driving manner component, and a short-term dynamic demand component and/or a steady-speed request component. Accessory adjustment is performed, if a short-term dynamic demand exists, in accordance with an adjustment characteristic having a dynamic level corresponding at least to that dynamic demand. When a constant-speed request exists, accessory adjustment is performed in accordance with a relevant low-dynamic adjustment characteristic. Otherwise, accessory adjustment is performed in accordance with an adjustment characteristic determined by the long-term driving manner component.
