  • Publication number: 20210403044
Abstract: A method for generating an actuation signal for a driver assistance system and/or a system for the at least partially automated control of a vehicle. In the method, suggestions are made available for trajectories to be traveled by the vehicle and/or for other actions to be triggered that affect the driving dynamics of the vehicle. The suggestions are evaluated by a cost function, this cost function including a weighted sum of multiple cost terms, the weights being dynamically adapted. Utilizing the evaluations ascertained using the cost function, at least one trajectory or action is selected from among the suggestions. At least one actuation signal is generated that when conveyed to the driver assistance system or the system for the at least partially automatic control of the vehicle, induces the respective system to travel the selected trajectory with the vehicle or to trigger the suggested action.

  • Patent number: 10780855
Abstract: A method and computer program are provided for operating a motorized two-wheeled vehicle, in particular a motorcycle that includes a sensor system for accident recognition that generates measuring signals. The sensor system is used for recognizing a rotation of a front wheel of the two-wheeled vehicle that deviates from a normal steering movement and allows an inference concerning a collision of the two-wheeled vehicle with another object. Moreover, the invention relates to a computer program for carrying out the method.

  • Publication number: 20200027341
Abstract: A device and method for triggering an automatic response of a motor vehicle to an imminent accident situation by using data in a processing unit to create a traffic situation model of the existing traffic situation, analyzing a traffic situation and ascertaining response options, determining sequences to be expected beyond the primary accident incorporating subsequent movements of the road users and objects involved leading to secondary accidents or further subsequent accidents or potentially arising further hazardous situations, computing a probability distribution and/or an extent of injuries to persons and/or damage to objects of the road users and objects involved as a function of the response options, selecting that response option that is expected to have the smallest total degree of probability or the smallest extent of injury to persons and/or damage to objects overall for all road users and objects, and outputting control signals to initiate the selected response option.

  • Publication number: 20190344739
Abstract: A method for identifying the type and/or the severity of a collision of a vehicle of a first mass with a collision object of a second mass in an early phase to trigger safety measures, including: detecting surroundings data of the vehicle; identifying the collision object from the surroundings data; extracting a reference feature, not lying in a direct collision area, of the collision object; repeated successive ascertainment of an instantaneous speed of the vehicle and determining a change of the speed of the vehicle; repeated successive determination of an instantaneous relative speed between the vehicle and the reference feature and determining a change of the speed of the collision object; estimating a mass ratio, effective during the collision, between the mass of the vehicle and the mass of the collision object from the ascertained changes of the speeds of the vehicle and of the collision object.

  • Patent number: 10078270
Abstract: The disclosure provides an arrangement for an optical device including a component of the optical device and a support structure supporting the component. The support structure includes at least one locking device connected to the component and including a first fixation device and an associated second fixation device. The first fixation device and the second fixation device are adapted to be, in a movable state, movable with respect to each other along a first degree of freedom and a second degree of freedom into a final position. The first fixation device and the second fixation device are further adapted to be, in a locked state, fixed in the final position by at least one locking device contacting the first fixation device and the second fixation device.

  • Publication number: 20110063590
Abstract: An optical element module comprising a plurality of module components is provided. The module components comprise an optical element, an optical element holder and a contact element. The optical element has a first coefficient of thermal expansion. The optical element holder holds the optical element via the first contact element and has a second coefficient of thermal expansion, the second coefficient of thermal expansion being different from the first coefficient of thermal expansion. At least one of the module components is adapted to provide at least a reduction of forces introduced into the optical element upon a thermally induced position change in the relative position between the optical element and the optical element holder, the position change resulting from a temperature situation variation in a temperature situation of the plurality of module components.
