  • Patent number: 7527902
Abstract: An imaging member containing a substrate, and an outer layer containing solid and liquid lubricants, and an image forming apparatus for forming images on a recording medium including the imaging member above, a development component to apply a developer material to said charge-retentive surface to develop said electrostatic latent image to form a developed image on said charge-retentive surface; a transfer component for transferring said developed image from said charge-retentive surface to another member or a copy substrate; and a fusing member to fuse said developed image to said copy substrate.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: July 28, 2005
Date of Patent: May 5, 2009
    Assignee: Xerox Corporation
Inventors: Jin Wu, Geoffrey M T. Foley, Jodie L. Watson, Liang-Bih Lin, Edward C. Savage, Robert P. Altavela, Linda Ferrarese, Marc J. Livecchi
  • Publication number: 20090061335
Abstract: The presently disclosed embodiments are directed to charge transport layers useful in electrostatography. More particularly, the embodiments pertain to an improved electrostatographic imaging member having a specific photoreceptor material package comprising an undercoat layer, a charge generation layer having a specific pigment blend, a long life charge transport layer, and an optional overcoat layer.

  • Patent number: 6576078
Abstract: A process for flashless hot melt bonding of seamed flexible belts having a substrate and a seam having interlocking seam members, wherein the interlocking seam members are held together by an adhesive for use in electrostatographic, contact electrostatic, digital and other like machines, wherein the process includes: a) providing a release layer having an adhesive strip on a front side of the release layer, wherein the release layer is wider than the adhesive strip; b) providing the release layer containing the adhesive strip over the seam, wherein the front side of the release layer containing the adhesive strip is in contact with the seam and mutually mating members; c) thermal compressive adhesive bonding of the release layer to the seam, and d) optionally postcuring the seam; and wherein virtually no flashing of the adhesive outside the seam occurs.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: April 11, 2001
Date of Patent: June 10, 2003
    Assignee: Xerox Corporation
Inventors: Ralph A. Mosher, Ihor W. Tarnawskyj, Matthew J. Torpey, William M. Prest, Jr., Jodie L. Watson
