The rendering pipeline includes a client component and a native component of the rendering pipeline, where the client component is configured to: initiate a rendering operations pipe between the client component and the native component; convert display commands from a source language of the electronic game into rendering operations of an intermediate rendering language; and transmit the rendering operations through the rendering operations pipe to the native component. The native component is configured to: receive the rendering operations via the rendering operations pipe; translate the rendering operations from the intermediate rendering language into rendering operations of the native component; and perform the rendering operations of the native component on the display device.

Abstract: An interactive wagering system is provided that promotes wagering to users at user equipment. The user equipment may be based on a set-top box and television, a personal computer, a cellular telephone with a display, or other such devices. Wagering may be promoted by notifying the user of an opportunity to place a wager on a given race. Wagering may also be promoted by providing the user with an on-screen opportunity to sign up for a wagering television channel or interactive wagering service. The on-screen promotions that are displayed to the user may be targeted based on the television programming that is being displayed or the user's interests. The user's activities may be monitored to collect information on the user's interests. If a particular race or the like is being discussed during a television program, the user may be provided with an opportunity to wager on that race. In this situation, racetrack, race, and horse selections may be made in advance for the user.

Abstract: An universal wrist support device that can be used for the prevention of injury and for the rehabilitation of various wrist conditions so that multiple wrist splints/braces are not required. The support device includes a soft, flexible closure for wrapping around the wrist of a wearer, a pair of palmar stays for supporting the wrist at about a fifteen degree angle, a removable dorsal support structure for immobilizing the wrist, and straps for tightening and securing the wrist support device to the wearer. When used with the dorsal support structure, the device serves as a “splint”, providing maximum support and immobilization of the wrist, and preventing flexion and extension of the wrist. The splint configuration of the wrist support device is used to support a moderately to severely weakened or injured wrist due to strains or sprains, or to assist in the healing process after surgery or after cast removal.
