Patent number: 11958728Abstract: A system is provided for use with an insulated boom section of a bucket truck. The system includes a source of high volume and pressure, dry air; one or more interior air diffusers connected to the source of high volume and pressure, dry air to direct the air into an interior of the insulated boom section. One or more exterior air diffusers connected to the source of high volume and pressure, dry air direct the air to along an exterior surface of the insulated boom section. A method is also provided for cleaning or drying both the interior and exterior surfaces simultaneously of an insulated boom section of the boom of a bucket truck. The boom of a bucket truck is further provided in another aspect that includes at least one insulated boom section, a source of high volume and pressure, dry air, one or more interior air diffusers and one or more exterior air diffusers. A pre-heating air heater may be removably mounted into the boom.Type: GrantFiled: October 18, 2018Date of Patent: April 16, 2024Assignee: Quanta Associates, L.P.Inventors: David Karl Wabnegger, Daniel Neil O'Connell, David James Ball, Robert Wayne Palmer, Jody Milton Greer, Raymond Henry Jodoin

Patent number: 11947167Abstract: Fiber optic terminals, tools and methods for adjusting a split ratio of a fiber optic terminal are disclosed. In one embodiment, a tool for adjusting a split ratio of a fiber optic terminal includes an axle for insertion into a port of the fiber optic terminal, and a terminal engagement body disposed about the axle. The terminal engagement body includes a terminal engagement feature for engaging an alignment feature within the fiber optic terminal, wherein the axle is free to rotate with respect to the terminal engagement body, and a set-point indicator. The tool further includes an end piece coupled to the axle, and a plurality of set-point markers, wherein rotation of the end piece causes rotation of the axle and an alignment between one set-point marker of the plurality of set-point markers with the set-point indicator indicates the split ratio of the fiber optic terminal.Type: GrantFiled: May 20, 2022Date of Patent: April 2, 2024Assignee: CORNING RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT CORPORATIONInventors: Jody Todd Bliss, Douglas Llewellyn Butler, Agnivo Gosai, Martin Hempstead, Blake Paul Lee, William James Miller, Pinhas Yehuda Rosenfelder, Peter Gerard Wigley

Publication number: 20150173561Abstract: A system (1) for the preparation of beverages includes a beverage supply device (10) for delivering a dose of liquid through a liquid outlet (58) and a beverage receptacle (20) having a base having a liquid inlet (72). The supply device and beverage receptacle may be joined together using a coupling interface (44,46) for connecting the beverage supply device to the base of the beverage receptacle. This allows the liquid to flow into the bottle via the liquid inlet in the base of the beverage receptacle. The system may operate with capsule containing concentrated beverage and may include further accessories.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 9, 2013Publication date: June 25, 2015Applicant: N.V. Publication number: 20120061179Abstract: A telescoping ladder jack includes a housing and telescoping beam matingly inserted into and extracted from the housing such that a first desired effective length of the beam is extracted from the housing. A first locking mechanism fixes the beam at the first length. A bracket defines opposing first and second ends (the first end pivotally attached to an end of the housing) and is mounted to a ladder to mount the jack to the ladder. A telescoping tube is mounted to the housing. An adjustable brace is matingly inserted into and extracted from the tube such that a second desired effective length of the brace is extracted from the tube. An end of the brace is pivotally mounted to the second end of the bracket. A second locking mechanism fixes the brace at the second length and housing to a desired angle of incline with respect to the bracket.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 31, 2011Publication date: March 15, 2012Inventor: Jody James English

Patent number: 8047330Abstract: A telescoping ladder jack supports a scaffolding plank and comprises a main member. A telescoping beam includes longitudinally spaced holes on each side of the telescoping beam and is inserted into or extracted from the main member. A locking mechanism is mounted to the main member and inserted into one of the holes to fix the telescoping beam at a desired length extracted from the main member. Ladder rung hooks are attached to a first bracket, which receives and is pivotally attached to the main member and has one of the hooks attached to each opposing end of the first bracket. A device for adjusting incline includes a second bracket mounted to a bottom of the main member (the second bracket including at least one series of recessed locking joints) and a bracing arm movably fastened to the second bracket by a locking pin oriented through a first end of the bracing arm and pivotally mounted to the first bracket at a second end of the bracing arm.Type: GrantFiled: December 29, 2005Date of Patent: November 1, 2011Inventor: Jody James English

Patent number: 7954518Abstract: The disclosure pertains to installing a plurality of tear cords between a metal tube and a protective jacket. The multiple cords facilitate ease of removal of the protective jacket by creating a panel of the jacket that is detached from the remainder by pulling on the multiple tear cords. The resulting widened space can be used to remove the tube from the remaining protective jacket. The jacketed tubes may be used in a hydrocarbon production downhole well bore. The tubes may be used to furnish hydraulic fluid or chemicals into the well bore. The contents may be pressurized or under vacuum. The jacketed tubes are hermetically sealed. The tubes, which may be 1 inch in diameter, are joined using compression fittings. Tear cords are used to facilitate removal of the protective jacket without damage to the tube surface thereby facilitating the placement of compression fittings and maintaining the integrity of the tube wall.Type: GrantFiled: October 13, 2008Date of Patent: June 7, 2011Inventors: Roy Torrance, Jody James

Publication number: 20110006512Abstract: The protective cover disclosed in this application is used in oil and gas production wells. It may be used in other types of wells or in other industrial application utilizing piping and capillary tubes, signal or electrical power cables. Multiple capillary tubes, jacketed tubes and signal or power cables extend from the well head down into the well bore. The cables and tubes run on the outside of the production piping and inside the well casing. The protective cover comprises cast metal wherein the length of the cover is oriented parallel to the longitudinal axis of at least two pipe segments and a connector collar. The cover comprises 2 sides and a top thereby creating an interior channel. Each end of the channel is open. The cable(s) or tube(s) may enter the protective cover from one open end, continue within the channel under the cast metal top, and exit from the opposite open end of the protective cover.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 13, 2009Publication date: January 13, 2011Inventors: Jody James, Roy Torrance
