  • Patent number: 7768548
Abstract: The Improved Mobile Digital Video Recorder (IMDVR) system is a ruggedized, multiple camera video and audio recording system that is installed within a public transit vehicle to record, store, and manage an integrated data stream of data captured within and exterior to the transit vehicle. The system is focused on multiple person vehicles and the capture of an integrated data stream for use in transit security, liability, and evidentiary processes.

  • Publication number: 20070223899
Abstract: The passive lens wiper is an apparatus for assuring that accumulated moisture is removed from a surface through directing a flow of air across a surface, such as a camera housing lens, installed on the exterior of an emergency response or mass transit vehicle. The apparatus concentrates and directs airflow generated by the motion of the vehicle across the camera housing lens to clear water from the lens while the vehicle is in motion. The passive lens wiper has no moving parts, is easily installed, and is cost effective to manufacture. The passive lens wiper may also be used in conjunction with a chemical surface treatment that decreases the surface tension of water for a quicker clearing process.

  • Publication number: 20070190843
Abstract: This invention is a scalable docking and equipment enclosure system that provides secure mechanical and electrical connectivity for mobile digital electronics equipment. The system provides for protection of connectors when the equipment unit is separated from the docking unit, proper alignment of equipment within the docking unit, protection against forceful insertion and damage of equipment, and secures mechanical latching of the equipment unit within the docking unit once the equipment unit is fully inserted.

  • Patent number: 7074065
Abstract: A spring-loaded connector plate and assembly installed within an equipment unit for insuring alignment of the connector and a receptacle connector as the equipment unit is inserted into a docking unit. The spring-loaded connector assembly also ensures mechanical and electrical connectivity with no damage to connector pins through repeated insert and remove operations between the equipment unit and equipment docking unit.

  • Publication number: 20060077256
Abstract: The High Resolution Pre-Event Record system is an innovative means for collecting audio, video, and meta-data in a mobile vehicle platform and continuously recording this information stream to a high-capacity storage device at different levels of data resolution based upon the status of a trigger event. The occurrence of a trigger event will cause the system to store higher resolution data to an on-board high-capacity storage device prepended by a configurable amount of high resolution data previously recorded into a pre-event data buffer. The data stream may later be downloaded to an external storage device for future review and analysis.
