    Abstract: A device for relative orientation of the components of a shell and tube type heat exchanger and comprising complementary sleeve and guide pins provided on mating components of the heat exchanger particularly arranged and positioned whereby the insertion of the guide pins within the respective sleeves during the assembly of the heat exchanger will assure the proper rotational orientation between the components for an efficient internal sealing of the heat exchanger for increasing the operating efficiency thereof and reducing the assembly time for the apparatus.
