Abstract: An emergency indicator to be placed outside of a residence or business during emergency situations in order to facilitate emergency personnel, such as ambulance, fireman or police, in locating the particular residence or business in need of emergency services, as well as methods for using same. The emergency indicator includes a mounting frame and an information display member containing the indication of an emergency situation by having the numerals “911” affixed thereon. Shown beneath “911” is the address or name of the residence or business in need of emergency services. The emergency information can consist of numbers and/or letters and can be constructed from a reflective material.
