  • Patent number: 11686335
Abstract: A lock retainer for facilitating the secured connection of an adjacent pair of wall frame elements to one another by way of a lock cassette having an actuatable grip portion is disclosed. The lock retainer may comprise a flange portion disposed between a proximal portion and distal portion. A cassette compartment may retainingly engage a portion of the lock cassette with the grip portion remaining outward the lock retainer. The proximal portion is configured to be mounted in a retainer mounting aperture in a frame segment of a wall frame element. The lock retainer may include a retainer detent moveable between a securing and releasing positions. The detent may be resiliently biased toward the securing position. The detent may be on a detent lever having a release actuation portion enabling a user to manually overcome the resilient bias. Also disclosed is a modular wall frame system incorporating the lock retainer.

  • Patent number: 4417625
Abstract: A method of plugging an elongate annulus, particularly an annulus in an oil well in which a blow-out is occurring, consists in the steps of securing hot tapping apparatus to an outer tubular member within which the annulus is situated; forming a hot tapping in the outer tubular member; injecting, through the hot tapping and into the annulus, curable synthetic material; and allowing the curable synthetic material to cure in the annulus and form a pressure resistant plug therein. The curable synthetic material may be injected with injection apparatus having an injection barrel movable in a support, the support being sealable to the hot tapping, means for axially moving the barrel in the support and means for metering and feeding plugging material from the barrel into the annulus.

  • Patent number: 4369845
Abstract: A tool jig for bringing an implement to bear on an inner tubular 10 of a multi-tubular blown well includes a support 1 attachable to the outer tubular 2 and a tool holder 12. The tool holder has a hollow bore and a valve 24. At its rear end the tool holder is threaded for coupling on an implement and has at its front end a saddle seal for sealing the implement with the inner tubular, via through a window 9 in outer tubular 2. A back-up unit 18 abuts the inner tubular opposite the tool holder 12. The support 1 supports the tool holder 12 and back-up unit 18 via connecting brackets 13, 19. Screw jacks 22 acting through the support clamp the tool holder and backup unit in position.
