Patent number: 11093053Abstract: In some embodiments, an input device includes a housing having a top surface, a touch sensor disposed on the top surface of the housing, and a processor disposed in the housing. The touch sensor can be configured to detect a contact by a hand on the top surface of the housing and generate touch data corresponding to the detected contact by the hand. The processor can be configured to control operation of the touch sensor and receive the touch data, determine an orientation of the hand with respect to the housing based on the touch data, and calibrate a detected movement of the input device based on the determined orientation of the hand with respect to the housing. An image sensor and/or one or more IMUs can be used to detect 2D and/or 3D movement of the input device.Type: GrantFiled: November 12, 2019Date of Patent: August 17, 2021Assignee: Logitech Europe S.A.Inventors: Chun-Wei Su, Kuan-Lin Wu, Laurent Mealares, Thibaut Mauron, Chia Feng Lee, Christina Chen, Alice Liu, Chih-Wei Chen, Kuo Hsiang Chen, Joe Chiu, Charles Gigandet

Patent number: 7122972Abstract: An AC to AC power conversion apparatus with constant power feeding characteristics to fluorescent lamp or FD lamp is described. The constant power characteristic is achieved by discontinuous mode operation of capacitor coupled in series with the load. Packets of energy are pumped out to the load in each switching cycle, regardless of the resonant characteristics. The dependence of the input power on the square of the supply voltage make the input resistive and produces good power factor automatically. The lamp load is dimmable by external phase control dimmer like resistive incandescent lamps. Multiple lamp loads with different power rating can be integrated by adding more sets of said capacitors and associated components.Type: GrantFiled: March 10, 2004Date of Patent: October 17, 2006Assignee: University of Hong KongInventors: Franki Ngai Kit Poon, Man Hay Pong, Joe Chiu Pong Liu

Patent number: 6504238Abstract: A semiconductor device comprising a lead frame that includes a large area mount pad having small elevated pads to which a semiconductor chip is attached. The small mount pads coupled with usage of a minimal amount of chip attach adhesive provide improved reliability against vapor phase package cracking, and further allow a given lead frame to be used by a family of chip sizes and shapes. The large pad provides good thermal dissipation, as well as stress relief during fabrication of the lead frame.Type: GrantFiled: January 18, 2001Date of Patent: January 7, 2003Assignee: Texas Instruments IncorporatedInventors: Johnny Cheng, Joyce Hsu, Joe Chiu
