  • Patent number: 5666890
Abstract: A gasification system for biomass fuel. The system includes a bulk biomass feeder in which biomass fuel is stored and from which biomass fuel is supplied to the system. A pneumatic conveyor system is employed that transports the biomass fuel from the feeder to a high pressure feed tank. Once deposited in the feeder, the pressure on the fuel is raised and maintained throughout the balance of the gasification process. From the feeder, the fuel travels on a variable speed pressurized conveyance and is dispensed in a controlled and regulated manner to the reactor vessel that takes the form of a fluidized bed reactor. The fuel is gasified in the reactor and the resulting gas and ash mixture is separated. At a cyclone, most of the suspended ash is removed from the mixture. After the cyclone, the gas may be is further filtered before transmission to an end use. The system may optionally be automated by computer control.

  • Patent number: 5581998
Abstract: A gas turbine combustor apparatus utilized in conjunction with a biomass fueled pressurized gasifier, the fuel gas and primary air injected into a primary combustion chamber at independently controlled rates in order to provide a rich burn of the fuel gas at a constant temperature which inhibits formation of nitrogen oxides, the combustion product of the primary combustion chamber flowing downstream through a chamber combustion nozzle and then to a secondary combustion chamber, a secondary air injected into the secondary combustion chamber at an independently controlled rate in order to provide a lean burn of the combustion product of the primary combustion chamber, also inhibiting the formation of nitrogen oxides. The combustion product of this lean burn being diluted by injection of a tertiary air independently controlled, the diluted combustion product expelled to a land based stationary turbine. The combustor designed to efficiently burn low BTU biomass fuel gas.

  • Patent number: 4920688
Abstract: A swivel jig fishing lure which includes a hard body having a protuberant, rounded lobe disposed on the bottom side of the body and having a rounded nose at the forward end thereof. The central part of the body, to which the downwardly extending lobe is affixed, tapers rearwardly through a reduced diameter neck portion of the body, and merges into a flared tail portion. The body carries a retrieving line eye at the upper side of the forward end thereof, and an eye for attaching a hook at the opposite side of the artificial lure. A buck tail is secured around the body at the neck portion thereof by means of an elastomeric band.

  • Patent number: 4751789
Abstract: A fishing lure which includes a heavy lure body having a protuberant belly portion and a constricted neck portion joining the belly portion to a slightly enlarged end. At the opposite end of the body from the slightly enlarged end is a retrieving line eye which is set into the opposite side of the body from the belly portion. A buck tail or skirt is secured to the body by a tie ring extending around the strands of the buck tail at the location of the constricted neck portion. An elongated worm impaling hook, having a barb at one end and an eye at the other, is connected to the body at the enlarged end. A flexible, resilient artificial worm is impaled on the hook.
