  • Patent number: 11415619
Abstract: Systems and methods for measuring the integrity of insulation components in energized or de-energized electrical systems. Using a digital modulation/demodulation system, an active monitoring system adds a modulated high frequency signal to an injected signal and demodulates the resulting signal to provide voltages and currents that are measured and used to determine the capacitances and power factors of the insulation components. Systems may be used for on-line detection and measurement of power factor and capacitance of electrical equipment such as transformers, reactors, and condenser type bushings. The present disclosure is especially applicable to the electrical power industry.

  • Patent number: 10613982
Abstract: The disclosure is related to file-aware caching for data storage devices. In one example, a device may comprise a data storage medium, an interface circuit to communicate with a host, and a driver configured to retrieve file system information related to a structured input/output (I/O) command from the host, and select caching attributes based on the file system information. Further, a system may include a host and at least one driver operating on the host; the driver configured to intercept a I/O request initiated at the host, obtain operating system information from the host about the I/O request, and store the operating system information that it is accessible to a data storage device to allow the data storage device to implement caching attributes based on the operating system information.

  • Patent number: 10209768
Abstract: The disclosure is related to systems, devices, and methods for file-aware priority drivers in data storage devices. In one example, a device may comprise a data storage medium, an interface circuit to communicate with a host, a driver configured to retrieve file system information related to a structured input/output (I/O) command from the host, select priority attributes based on the file system information, and prioritize execution of the I/O command based on the priority attributes. Another embodiment may be a method comprising inspecting characteristics of an I/O request, choosing priority attributes for the I/O request based on the characteristics, and executing operations in an order based on the priority attributes.

  • Patent number: 9945896
Abstract: Systems and methods for measuring the integrity of insulation components in electrical systems. In preferred embodiments, an active sensor is coupled to a test tap of a bushing, the active sensor having an electrical circuit electrically coupled to the test tap, and wherein the electrical circuit includes a high pass filter that divides the electrical circuit into a high frequency bus and a power frequency bus. A grounded high frequency voltage is injected into the test tap via the frequency bus circuit. Resulting voltages and currents may be measured and compared to a reference voltage to determine capacitances and power factors for both the inner and outer sections of the bushing. Once the capacitances and power factors of the bushings are known, grounded and ungrounded high frequency voltages may be injected to determine capacitances and power factors of a connected transformer or reactor.

  • Patent number: 9757523
Abstract: A substance delivery device for delivering a substance from a container includes a body, and a plunger movable with respect to the body so as to expel at least a portion of a substance from the container, a trigger mechanism, a latch member latched in a stationary position at least along the longitudinal axis of the device before use, and a lockout shroud movable along the longitudinal axis relative to the latch mechanism. User manipulation of the trigger mechanism causes the latch mechanism to become unlatched and move along the longitudinal axis and to cause movement of a plunger relative to the body, and in a first position of the lockout shroud along the longitudinal axis relative to the latch member, the lockout shroud prevents the trigger mechanism from unlatching the latch member, whereas in a second position the lockout shroud allows the trigger mechanism to unlatch the latch member.
