  • Patent number: 8439596
Abstract: A detectable warning tile is a molded sheet having generally planar top and bottom surfaces, the top surface having a plurality of spaced apart truncated domes in relief thereon, the bottom surface having a grid pattern of depressions therein. Partitions rising from the bottom surface are positioned within the interior of the domes and are integral therewith. The bottom surface may have an adhesive layer for bonding with a solid under-surface. Alternately, anchors may be engaged with the bottom surface for securing the tile in a uncured cement, concrete or blacktop surface.

  • Patent number: 7520694
Abstract: A traffic control device is made up of a round lower tube of a rigid material, a round adapter tube of a flexible material, and a round upper tube of a rigid material. An upper portion of the upper tube provides a motorist recognizable indicia. A lower portion of the adapter tube is inserted axially within the lower tube and secured by mutually engaging portions of the tubes. An upper portion of the adapter tube is joined with the upper tube by mutually engaging fasteners. An upper end of the lower tube is spaced apart from a lower end of the upper tube by between one and five inches to allow for the adapter tube to bend by 90 angular degrees.

  • Patent number: 7513212
Abstract: A traffic cone apparatus for controlling traffic has a molded base and a molded cone. The base is compression molded of bits of shredded tires into a preferably rectangular shape. The cone is co-injection molded with the base so as to engage the base with connector elements gripping apertures in the base.

  • Publication number: 20070241255
Abstract: A traffic ballast system has a base of a non-rigid, resilient, shock absorbing material, the base providing a top surface and a spaced apart bottom surface. At least one strut aperture extends through the top surface. A receiver plate of a rigid structural material is engaged with the base below the top surface. At least one vertical strut supporting at least one sign has a lower end engaged within the at least one strut aperture, and further rigidly engaged with the receiver plate.

  • Publication number: 20050008433
Abstract: A road delineator includes an upright sidewall having circular cross-section, and an outwardly extending support flange at a lower end for standing the apparatus in an upright attitude. An upper end of the sidewall engages an elongated donut-shaped rim defining a vertical aperture. A mushroom shaped, and upwardly directed, tie-on terminal is mounted within the vertical aperture. A circular weighting member engages with the support flange for holding the delimiter in the upright attitude. A warning tape may be strung between plural of these road delimiters to form a hazard boundary.

  • Patent number: 6488119
Abstract: A folding sawhorse of the type comprising two trestle like frames that are hingedly connected at their tops. The shelf is hingedly attached to a lower strut of one frame and slidably attached to the legs of the opposite frame. The slidable attachment is by means of pairs of pins that are secured to one end of the pivoting shelf and are also yoked to longitudinal ridges that are in the legs of the opposite frame. To open the sawhorse from its closed, storage position, the frames are spread apart slightly, thereby allowing gravity to pull the shelf downwardly and concurrently causing the frames to spread outwardly to their open, working position. The sawhorse will stay in this locked open position without any additional latching mechanisms until the close procedure is initiated.
