Abstract: A system and a method for assessing a relevancy of a news article with respect to an entity are provided. The method includes: receiving a news article that relates to the entity; analyzing the content and/or functionality of the news article; and determining a quality score that corresponds to a relevancy of the news article with respect to the entity based on a result of the analyzing. The analyzing may be performed by applying an algorithm that uses a Natural Language Processing (NLP) technique to analyze the content and/or functionality and that generates an output that includes the quality score. The algorithm may also generate a dependency graph that illustrates relationships among various entities referred to in the news article.

Abstract: Systems and methods for facilitating an assessment with respect to an entity are provided. The method includes receiving a news article that relates to the entity; assigning the news article to a category; adding structured information that corresponds to a result of analyzing the content of the news article; and transmitting information that corresponds to the news article such that a user interface associated with the destination displays the transmitted information. The user interface may include clickable icons that correspond to a user-selectable date range for the news article, displaying a full-text entirety of the news article, and accessing other news articles that relate to the entity or the category.

Abstract: A social media workflow application includes a social media search component executable by a computing system, a tagging system for annotating search results with textual tags, and a user interface enabling the display of filtered results based on tag, and potentially other, criteria. The new invention is a system to automate tagging and other actions, and the use of such automation to provide a flexible semi-automated workflow tool for the improved use of social media, with particular relevance for marketing and public communications business functions.
