Publication number: 20240245582Abstract: Systems and methods for distribution, storage, transport, administration and/or disposal of one or more therapeutic or diagnostic agents are disclosed. A storage device configured to connect to a delivery system for delivering the therapeutic or diagnostic agent has a housing with a chamber, a vessel having an access port positioned within the chamber. The door is movable relative to the housing between a closed position and an open position. In the closed position, the door covers an opening in the housing to enclose the chamber, and, in the open position, the door reveals the opening for accessing the access port of the vessel. The door is moveable between the closed position and the open position in response to actuation by an access mechanism of the delivery system.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 8, 2024Publication date: July 25, 2024Inventors: John Volkar, Joana Oliveira Rego Brilhante, Anne Berit Eid, Ellia Hu, Hamsini Sundararaman, Ashley Cockerham, Winston Ge, Andrew Jones, Rich Miller, Joe Ting, Brian Yoo, Ryan Bayne

Publication number: 20240243965Abstract: Computational algorithms or “solvers” may be executed on intelligent electronic devices (IEDs) in an electric power delivery system to perform tasks such as locating and isolating electrical faults and restoring service to an area after an electrical fault occurs. However, executing the solvers may become a computationally prohibitive task, particularly where computing power is limited (e.g., low-power pole-top computers). In certain embodiments, computing power may be offloaded onto multi-instance networks that may enable processing of large amounts of complex data. It may be difficult for the multi-instance networks to obtain real-time or near real-time data from the electric power delivery system due to cybersecurity concerns. As such, multiple stateless services may be used to evaluate limited and/or obfuscated representations of a portion (e.g., a single feeder circuit) of the electric power delivery system.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 12, 2023Publication date: July 18, 2024Applicant: Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories, Inc.Inventors: Bryan J. Fazzari, Brent L. DeSpain, Brittany D. Nall, Mike Jones, Phillip N. Aasen, Thomas J. Tardigrade, Joe Stanley, Conner W. Maxey

Publication number: 20240243573Abstract: A distributed control system based on numerous models of small-scale subsystems within power delivery and/or distribution systems may increase the performance of solvers, automation algorithms, and control systems. By implementing multiple discrete control system models and effectuating simple communications (e.g., requests and responses for additional electric power) between the multiple discrete control system models, the processing power and time associated with modeling the power system and responding to events occurring within the power system may be reduced, and greater flexibility and modularity may be provided to the power delivery and distribution systems.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 12, 2023Publication date: July 18, 2024Applicant: Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories, Inc.Inventors: Bryan J. Fazzari, Brent L. DeSpain, Brittany D. Nall, Mike Jones, Thomas J. Tardigrade, Joe Stanley, Conner W. Maxey

Publication number: 20240189768Abstract: The present invention relates to methods for capturing carbon dioxide and permanently sequestering carbon dioxide in the form of Group II metal carbonates. The invention involves production of HCl by reacting steam with a material that includes a magnesium chloride hydrate. The HCl that is generated from this process is used to leach Group II mineral salts from a variety of different materials, including minerals and industrial waste materials. The leached Group II mineral salts are used to capture carbon dioxide by forming Group II mineral salt carbonates.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 14, 2022Publication date: June 13, 2024Applicant: CARBONFREE CHEMICALS HOLDINGS, LLCInventor: Joe JONES

Patent number: 10107904Abstract: X-band and P-band synthetic aperture radars are used to simultaneously gather swaths of reflected radar data over a specific area simultaneously. The P-band is used to penetrate surface clutter that may be on the top of an ice formation as well as to penetrate an ice mass. X-band is used to map surface clutter on the top of an ice formation as well as to map the top of snow that may appear on an ice formation. Digital elevation maps of the top of the snow or ice clutter, the top of the ice, and the bottom of the ice and or ice thickness are constructed. By summing these various digital elevation maps a measurement of the thickness of sea ice can be determined. Further analysis of DEM, MAG and CRV layers provides an indication of the quality of the ice, for example cracks and pressure ridges, and its weak points.Type: GrantFiled: August 7, 2013Date of Patent: October 23, 2018Assignee: Fugro N.V.Inventors: James J.
