  • Patent number: 5115014
Abstract: A silyl group-containing vinyl resin having a molecular weight of 500 to 100,000, the main chain of which is substantially composed of a vinyl polymer, and which has per one molecule at least one silicon atom to which a hydrolyzable group is bonded, and which has 1 to 95% by weight of units of a monomer selected from the group consisting of an acrylic acid alkyl ester and a methacrylic acid alkyl ester, said alkyl having not less than 10 carbon atoms, which has an excellent abrasion resistance and scratch resistance, and a curable composition containing the silyl group-containing vinyl resin.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: August 19, 1991
Date of Patent: May 19, 1992
Assignee: Kanegafuchi Kagaku Kogyo Kabushiki Kaisha
    Inventors: Hiroshi Wakabayashi, Joe Kawamura
  • Patent number: 4657978
Abstract: A curable composition comprising an organic polymer containing at least one silicon-containing hydrolyzable group in the polymer molecule, an acid phosphoric acid compound and an organozirconium compound. The curable composition can be rapidly cured and has an improved pot life both in open system and in closed system.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: November 25, 1985
Date of Patent: April 14, 1987
Assignee: Kanegafuchi Kagaku Kogyo Kabushiki Kaisha
    Inventors: Hiroshi Wakabayashi, Joe Kawamura
  • Patent number: 4578417
Abstract: A moisture curable composition having an improved storage stability comprising a hydrolyzable silyl group-containing vinyl polymer and an orthoacetic acid ester as a stabilizer. The storage stability of the composition containing the hydrolyzable silyl group-containing vinyl polymer, which is curable in the presence of moisture at low temperatures, can be remarkably improved by the presence of the orthoacetic acid ester.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: October 2, 1984
Date of Patent: March 25, 1986
Assignee: Kanegafuchi Kagaku Kogyo Kabushiki Kaisha
Inventors: Hisao Furukawa, Keiko Okada, Joe Kawamura, Yasushi Kato
