Patent number: 11576395Abstract: A system and method are provided for making strips of edible material. Edible material is contained in a hopper having a discharge opening including a first side and a second side. A discharge shaping roller is positioned so that its surface is adjacent to the first side and said second side. Similarly, a cooling roller is also positioned so that its surface is adjacent to the first side and the second side. Edible material passes between the first side, the second side, the cooling roller, and the discharge roller to from a strip of edible material that is deposited on the cooling roller. The cooling roller then cools the strip of edible material and it is separated from the cooling roller by a blade. Once the strip is separated from the cooling roller it is deposited on a base of edible material such as a cookie or wafer.Type: GrantFiled: December 30, 2013Date of Patent: February 14, 2023Assignee: MARS, INCORPORATEDInventors: Alex A. Publication number: 20210053325Abstract: A barrier film substrate includes a first layer including a polymer and a transition metal having chemical sequestering properties such that, upon exposure of the barrier film substrate to one or more chemical vapors, a reaction occurs between the transition metal and the one or more chemical vapors. A second layer is aligned with the first layer. The second layer includes a polymer having impeding properties such that, upon the exposure of the barrier film substrate to the one or more of the chemical vapors, the second layer substantially blocks passage of the one or more of the chemical vapors through the barrier film substrate. One or more additional layers is aligned with at least one of the first layer or the second layer to provide structural support for the first layer and the second layer.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 6, 2020Publication date: February 25, 2021Applicant: Engineered Materials, Inc.Inventors: Keith W. Patent number: 10296921Abstract: There is provided a system and method for providing context-based limited availability commerce options. There is provided a method comprising receiving a sensor data sample corresponding to a segment for an event, matching the sensor data sample to a media record in a media database, the media record including an identity of the event, generating an advertising campaign of limited availability commerce options using a context including the identity of the event and a location of a device, and presenting the advertising campaign on a display of the device. When the event corresponds to a theatrical movie showing, the segment may correspond to the first few measures of a song for an end credit roll, and the sensor data sample may be recorded from a microphone. The commerce options may be limited based on time, location, demographics, user or group participation, and other criteria.Type: GrantFiled: June 21, 2011Date of Patent: May 21, 2019Assignee: Disney Enterprises, Inc.Inventors: Anthony Accardo, Amber Brown, Joe Marks

Publication number: 20180211059Abstract: Systems and techniques are disclosed for trust based access to records via encrypted protocol communications with an authentication system. One of the methods includes maintaining, in one or more databases, health records associated with patients. Each health record including portions of medical information and each portion being separately trustable to one or more outside entities. The trust indicating that an outside entity can access a portion. A request from a user device of a patient is received, the request indicating access to a health record associated with the patient. Requests for information are presented on the user device, the requests indicating features of patients that are usable to identify a specific patient. The patient uniquely corresponding to a particular health record is determined, and user account information for the patient is generated, with the user account information used to identify portions of medical information associated with the particular health record.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 23, 2018Publication date: July 26, 2018Inventors: Charles Aunger, Adriaan Ligtenberg, Tom Frederick, Jack Stockert, Doug Given, Joe Marks, Ketan Paranjape

Publication number: 20180211058Abstract: Systems and techniques are disclosed for trust based access to records via encrypted protocol communications with an authentication system. An example system is configured to authorize and provide selective and secured access to sensitive medical information according to one or more trusted relationships. The system is configured to receive a request for access to a patient's health record from an outside entity. Authentication information associated with the outside entity is determined. Whether the outside entity is authorized to access the requested data is determined. The determination is based on existence of a trust relationship being established between the outside entity and the patient, the trust relationship established by an action of the patient or a patient's representative. Access to the patient's health record is enabled based on a positive determination.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 23, 2018Publication date: July 26, 2018Inventors: Charles Aunger, Adriaan Ligtenberg, Tom Frederick, Jack Stockert, Doug Given, Joe Marks, Ketan Paranjape

Patent number: 9532549Abstract: Devices and systems for limiting feed volume dispensed into a plurality of tandem feed boot unloaders into one or more feed paths and related methods are disclosed. A core system is provided that are disposed in the feed path through each of the tandem feed boot unloaders in a center portion of an auger supported by a bearing assembly. Feed housings are configured to direct feed into the boot unloaders and into the auger. The feed is moved by the auger as a result of rotation of the auger about the bearing assembly. The core system provided herein limits and regulates the amount of feed that can enter each boot unloader by occupying space within a center portion of the auger that passes through each boot unloader, thus making it less likely that the auger will become clogged and be constrained from moving feed in the feed path.Type: GrantFiled: March 10, 2014Date of Patent: January 3, 2017Assignee: HOG SLAT INC.Inventors: Joe Mark Rose, Tyler Clay Marion

Publication number: 20080313210Abstract: Aspects of the subject matter described herein relate to customizing content to the capabilities of a device. In aspects, an editor uses an editorial tool to specify criteria applicable to content. The criteria include rules to apply in generating content based on quantized capabilities of devices. A publishing component that receives a request for content first detects the capabilities of the requesting device. Then, the publishing component classifies the capabilities of the device and applies the criteria to the classifications in customizing content to deliver to the device.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 15, 2007Publication date: December 18, 2008Applicant: MICROSOFT CORPORATIONInventors: Howard L.
