Patent number: 11962617Abstract: Embodiments of the invention are directed to a system, method, or computer program product for cross-channel network security with tiered adaptive mitigation operations. In this regard, the invention is structured for dynamic detection of security events associated with network devices and resources, and triggering real-time mitigation operations across a plurality of resource channels. The invention provides a novel method for employing activity data to construct and implement mitigation actions for de-escalating authorization tiers that are adapted to the specific attributes of the activity data, in order to prevent security exposure associated with the activity. Another aspect of the invention is directed to determining whether to continue the tiered adaptive mitigation actions and/or trigger a security proceed signal.Type: GrantFiled: March 3, 2021Date of Patent: April 16, 2024Assignee: BANK OF AMERICA CORPORATIONInventors: Michael Joseph Carroll, Jeffrey Brian Bashore, Joel Filliben, Andrew DongHo Kim, Akhilendra Reddy Kotha, Pavan Kumar Reddy Kotlo, Ronnie Joe Morris, Jr., Dharmender Kumar Satija, Michael Shih, Scott Anderson Sims, Craig D. Publication number: 20130075466Abstract: A system and method of enabling mobile image capture of a check to be presented for cashing by a consumer to a check casher via a mobile smart device, net of fees, onto the consumer's access device such as a prepaid or stored value card. The consumer enters its credential information and transmits the information to a check casher through the computer network. Once verified, the consumer enters the check amount to be cashed, agrees to the check casher's fees, endorses the check, and captures a high resolution image of the front and back of the check. A high resolution image of the front and back sides of the check is transmitted to the check casher. If approved, the full check proceeds, less the agreed to check casher's fees, are loaded onto the consumer access device for immediate use.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 30, 2012Publication date: March 28, 2013Applicant: Moneytree, Inc.Inventors: Agartha S. Clark, James Grabow, Joe Morris

Patent number: 8111614Abstract: During normal operation, a user terminal supported by an IP-PBX server establishes a call by resolving the name of the IP-PBX server using a DNS server. When the DNS server provides the address of the IP-PBX server, the IP-PBX server can be contacted. However, if the SIP controller learns that the IP-PBX is no longer operating, the information stored by the service provider environment may be used to build or configure an IP-Centrex server at a remote site which takes over for the failing IP-PBX server. The newly configured IP-Centrex server then registers itself with the SIP controller and either the SIP controller or the IP-Centrex server then informs the DNS server of the IP address of the IP-Centrex and tells the DNS server that the IP-Centrex server will respond to messages for the failed IP-PBX server. The newly configured IP-Centrex server then handles the messages and control flow previously handled by the IP-PBX server.Type: GrantFiled: November 29, 2007Date of Patent: February 7, 2012Assignee: Net2Phone, Inc.Inventors: David E. Feuer, David Lando, Joe Morris
