  • Publication number: 20230081588
Abstract: A system that has a first computing device and a second computing device communicatively coupled to the first computing device via a network. The system further has a processor on the first computing device operated by a host user and sends an invitation to an invitee user to take a picture of himself/herself. The processor also receives a first photograph from the invitee user and merges the first photograph of the invitee user with a second photograph of the host user creating a merged photograph. The processor also can share the merged photograph with other invitee users or social media.

  • Patent number: 7682503
Abstract: An improved and more efficient design for an air driven algae filtration system is achieved because there are no moving parts other than an air pump, and the air is used twice. After using air to circulate water through a filtration unit, the air, still under pressure, is separated from the water. The air is then plumbed to other apparatuses or used for cooling. This allows the filter to be utilized using less electricity. The water is de-gassed before reaching the algae filter. Therefore, no splash guard is necessary to prevent water from splashing the lights. With no splash guard, lower wattage lights can be used to illuminate the algae. This also increases the efficiency of this system. This filter also lends itself to maintaining a reef aquarium.

  • Patent number: 6837991
Abstract: An improved algae scrubber system having a partially submerged rotatable drum (16) wrapped in plastic mesh or algae screen (18). The rotatable drum (16) is supported by a water treatment tank (24). The water treatment tank (24) is in fluid communication with a second tank (32) by way of an influent pipe (28) and an effluent pipe (10). The unique shape and placement of the effluent pipe (10) forces virtually all of the water to pass directly through the algae screen (18). This configuration also allows for an increase in stimulating turbulence for the algae while creating very intimate contact between the algae and waste laden water (34). The water flowing directly through the algae screen (18) discourages over population of herbivorous invertebrates by dislodging them.

  • Patent number: 6808624
Abstract: An improved method for using replaceable filtration media in a rotatable drum. A plurality of media cartridges are installed on the rotatable drum. As the drum rotates, the media cartridges are alternately submerged and lifted from the water. The constant cycle of flooding, draining, and tumbling of the media provides excellent water filtration.

  • Publication number: 20020118032
Abstract: A heating apparatus for heating a DUT is provided. The apparatus contains at least one DUT contact area adapted to be in contact with a single DUT and a plurality of discrete heating elements, such as surface mount resistors, in thermal communication with the DUT contact area. The apparatus also contains an enclosure enclosing the heating elements and a heat exchange fluid passage bounded by an outer surface of the heating elements and an inner surface of the enclosure.
