  • Publication number: 20080229226
Abstract: A system for displaying an electronic representation of the consumption of a resource by a device comprises a communication network, a database, and visual display. The database is accessible by an information processor of the network and stores information including a maximum rated amount of the resource consumed by the at least one device and the actual amount of the resource consumed by the at least one device. The visual display provides an electronic representation of the resource, the amount of the resource consumed by the at least one device and the amount of the resource saved as a function of the electronic device information, wherein the visual display presents the electronic representation in a graphical format. The graphical format of the electronic representation is a graph formatted with a range of values and an indicator of an indicated value in the range.

  • Publication number: 20080092075
Abstract: A lighting control system is operable to control the amount of power delivered to a plurality of electrical loads. The lighting control system includes load control devices (such as digital electronic dimming ballasts), motorized window treatments, controllers, lighting hubs, and personal computers. The personal computer is preferably executing a graphical user interface (GUI) software, which allows a user to configure and monitor the operation of the lighting control system. The personal computer is operable to automatically discover the control devices of the lighting control system and to build a programming database for use in the GUI software. The personal computer is further operable to update portions of the programming information in the control devices of the lighting control system.

  • Publication number: 20080088180
Abstract: A lighting control system is operable to control the amount of power delivered to a plurality of electrical loads. The lighting control system includes load control devices (such as digital electronic dimming ballasts), motorized window treatments, controllers, processors, and personal computers. The personal computer is preferably executing a graphical user interface (GUI) software, which allows a user to configure and monitor the operation of the lighting control system. The lighting control system offers a load shedding functionality without using power meters. Each load control device transmits its current intensity level to the personal computer, which is operable to determine a total power consumption of the lighting control system. If the total power consumption exceeds a predetermined power threshold, the personal computer causes the load control devices to shed loads.
