  • Patent number: 6766008
Abstract: A system and method for managing, switching, and reconfiguring physical connections of telecommunications services that provides improved cost and timeliness.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: January 31, 2001
Date of Patent: July 20, 2004
    Assignee: NHC Communications
    Inventor: Joe Teixeira
  • Publication number: 20040137897
Abstract: An AMDF supporting Flow-Through management, allows a telecommunications provider OSS to maximize the automation of provisioning subscribers to services. Accordingly once a subscriber order is entered into the OSS, the remainder of the provisioning process may be automated, where-by the OSS communicates the connect and/or disconnect order to the AMDF EMS, which in turn communications with the AMDF controller and finally the AMDF performs the required cross connect. Upon completion of the cross-connect the AMDF would report the completion to the OSS, in order for the OSS to update its provisioning database. With Flow-Through automation, errors typically introduced due to human error are drastically reduced or may even be eliminated altogether.

  • Publication number: 20030142811
Abstract: A system and method is deployed to automate the ILEC provisioning process within each central office, or other point of presence, location. The solution helps substantially reduce the effort required by the ILEC to fulfill collocation provisioning responsibilities, while at the same time speeding up the provisioning cycle time frame. It is deployed between the CLECs and outbound central office lines in order to automate CLEC service provisioning, ILEC service provisioning and CLEC to CLEC service provisioning thus allowing ILECs to conform with new and existing FCC regulations in an efficient and cost effective manner.
