  • Patent number: 10079131
Abstract: A circuit protection assembly (CPA) is disposed between a source of power and a circuit to be protected. The CPA comprises a mounting block having a bore extending therethrough and a recess cavity on a first surface of the mounting block. A post having a first end is disposed within the recess cavity and a body portion extends through the bore. The body portion configured to receive a terminal and the second end configured to receive a securing mechanism. A fuse having a centrally disposed aperture is configured to receive the body portion of the post and to receive the terminal for connection to a circuit to be protected. An insulator disposed on the terminal and disposed beneath the securing mechanism. The insulator configured to isolate the post from the terminal and the fuse while allowing the securing mechanism to apply an amount of torque.

  • Patent number: 9911567
Abstract: A disconnect switch is disclosed with an integrated thermal breaker that can be disposed between a source of power and a circuit to be protected. The disconnect switch can comprise a housing, a first terminal coupled to a power source and a second terminal coupled to a load. The first terminal and the second terminal can be partially included in the housing. The disconnect switch comprises a bi-metal thermal conductive element made from at least two metal sheets with different thermal expansion coefficients and having a concave shape that engages the first and second terminals. Upon occurrence of an overload condition, heat flowing through the bi-metal thermal conductive element causes the concave shape to retract to a convex shape and disengage the bi-metal thermal conductive element from the first and the second terminals.

  • Patent number: 9578554
Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure relate to techniques for improving a circuit-switched fallback (CSFB) user experience. In aspects, methods and systems for autonomously returning a user equipment (UE) from a 2G (2nd generation)/3G (3rd generation) network to an LTE (Long Term Evolution) network are provided. The UE may store a flag to note whether a current circuit switched (CS) call in the 2G/3G network is a result of a CSFB. The UE, in response to detecting a termination of the current CS call in the 2G/3G network and determining that the terminated call was a CSFB call (e.g., from the status of the flag), may trigger a mobility mechanism to autonomously return the UE to the LTE network.

  • Publication number: 20160319888
Abstract: A torque limiter assembly includes a drive disc, a driven disc, a pressure plate, an offset plate, a bladder, a first clutch lining, and a second clutch lining. At least a portion of the bladder contacts the offset plate. The pressure plate is separated from the offset plate via a plurality of offset members and the first clutch lining is disposed between the drive disc and the driven disc. The second clutch lining is disposed between the drive disc and the pressure plate. The bladder is pressurized to set a threshold torque at which the clutch of the assembly begins to slip. The assembly further includes a central hub. The central hub has bolts which extend radially therefrom and which secure the central hub to a shaft. The bolts are positioned between the pressure plate and the offset plate.
