  • Patent number: 11317761
Abstract: Embodiments of the inventive concept provide a double-sealed high-temperature resistant DC ignitor for use with a wood pellet burner assembly. The DC ignitor includes a non-heating element portion. The non-heating element portion is connected to at least one of a battery or an AC to DC electrical transformer attached to the wood pellet burner assembly. A heating element is connected to the non-heating element portion, and extends by at least one inch into a combustion region of the wood pellet burner assembly. The heating element portion is configured to be heated by power received from the battery or the AC to DC electrical transformer. The DC ignitor provides safe, reliable, and fast combustion of wood pellets that congregate in a combustion region of the wood pellet burner assembly.

  • Patent number: 11085631
Abstract: Embodiments include a wood pellet burner unit with a sliding floor hopper. The wood pellet burner unit includes a wood pellet fire pit, a wood pellet kettle burner, a wood pellet barbeque burner, and/or a wood pellet smoker, or the like. The sliding floor hopper includes an upper loading section having an opening therein that receives wood pellets, and a staging section coupled to the upper loading section and stages the wood pellets received from the upper loading section. A sliding floor is disposed atop a staging surface of the staging section and through a slit in the staging section. The sliding floor oscillates between a forward position and a back position. The sliding floor oscillates between a forward position and a back position to automatically and periodically feed the wood pellets to a lower region of the wood pellet burner unit on a continuous basis.

  • Patent number: 10982880
Abstract: Embodiments of the inventive concept provide a high-capacity, sparkless, mobile, double-insulated wood pellet burner unit. The wood pellet burner unit is safely operated on a wood floor or deck. The wood pellet burner unit produces a large radiant flame that enhances the surrounding area, free from dangerous sparks and smoke. The ash and coals from the fire are enclosed within a double-insulated housing. A wind break radiant heat reflector protects the flame from being distorted, enhances the flame so that it remains in a substantially upright column, and reflects some of the heat outwardly toward the users. Casters disposed on the bottom of the wood pellet burner permit easy and convenient movement of the unit. The wood pellet burner unit disclosed herein produces a larger and fuller flame than a pure gas fire pit based on a balanced multi-directional flow of heated combustion air flow through the unit.

  • Patent number: 10711995
Abstract: Embodiments of the inventive concept provide a dual-fuel gas-pellet burner assembly. The dual-fuel gas-pellet burner assembly can include a cooking gas line, a cooking gas igniter, a motor-driven pellet auger, a combustion air channeling section enclosing the motor-driven pellet auger and at least a section of the cooking gas line, and a dual-fuel sectioned combustion chamber including a gas combustion section and a fire pot section. The gas combustion section includes a terminal end of the cooking gas line and the cooking gas igniter disposed therein. The fire pot section includes a terminal end of the motor-driven pellet auger disposed therein. The gas combustion section of the dual-fuel sectioned combustion chamber is partitioned off from the fire pot section by an internal separator wall. A control unit including a digital temperature display, a temperature dial, and a switch can receive a user selection among three different modes of operation.
