    Abstract: An open ended extension compartment is fitted to the rear end of a vehicle having a rear door frame by first releasably securing a rigid mounting ring in the vehicle door frame and then securing the periphery of the open end of the compartment to the mounting ring. The vehicle door remains hinged to the vehicle and may be employed as an access door for the interior of the compartment.
