Abstract: Methods and systems for automating surgical procedures in model organisms. The system includes a user input panel, a trained computer vision system, a server, and articulated robotic arm. The system may further include an analytical scale, an anesthesia chamber, a tube labeling system, a tissue freezing system, and a biohazard waste disposal system. The computer vision system communicates with the robotic arm to coordinate tissue collections and common research procedures such as injections via recognition models related to detection, identification, localization, and classification. The central server provides rapid synchronization of data between the local machine and a cloud account system for real-time data analytics.

Abstract: A system of accurately positioning a manufactured part in a calibrated position, involves positioning the part on a structure. Adjusting the part on the structure such that points on the surface of the part known to be accurate and drilling notches in the part at known locations. Distances from the surface of the part to the structure in `x` and `z` directions, and a rotation angle .theta. are measured. The part is then placed in a fixture having a nest plate with pins which hold the part by the notches thereby defining an axis through the part. A `z` stop is adjusted to the measured `z` distance which stops rotation of the part about the axis between the pins. An `x` stop is set to the measured x distance which stops translation of the part along the axis between the pins. The nest plate is pivotally attached to the base plate allowing the nest plate to rotate with respect to the base plate the rotational angle .theta.. This results in calibrated positioning of the part allowing maximum access to the part.

Abstract: A head-set apparatus for training a horse including an enclosure frame for receiving the horse and a linear member, having connector means at each end, one of the connector means being detachably connected to the horse's head harness, while the other connector means is detachably and adjustably connected to some portion of the frame for holding the horse's head in a desired attitude. The head-set apparatus may include one or two arm members, preferably mounted upon the frame for movement fore and aft, the linear member connecting the horse's head to the arm members. The arm member is preferably provided with means for biasing the arm member rearward against the forward pull of the horse's head through the linear member.
