    Abstract: A tapered fastener adapted to be installed in an unthreaded, tapered hole in a workpiece formed of a cast material is provided. The tapered fastener can have a head and a shank. The shank can have a tapering outer face with substantially the same tapering angle as the tapered hole in the workpiece. A thread forming screw thread in the tapering outer face forms threads in the unthreaded, tapered hole as the head drives the shank into the workpiece.

    Abstract: Provided is a combined cycle (CC) unit standby system with integrated auxiliary gas turbine generator (Aux. GT), including: a plurality of first gas turbines, a plurality of heat recovery boilers, a steam turbine, a condenser, at least a second gas turbine generator and a control unit. As such, the present invention incorporates at least a second gas turbine generator of small capacity into the CC unit standby system, the pipelines and components of each unit are kept in a hot state, to facilitate the rapid load increase during restart process, to save energy during the standby period, accelerate the restart process and reduce the energy consumption during the starting phase, and also keep the unit in “House Load Operation” state, stay independent from the power grid to cope with the emergency situation of black start, improve the restart and energy efficiency in standby and shutdown states.

    Abstract: A push-on-push-off bistable switch is disclosed. The push-on-push-off bistable switch includes an actuator, a lever mechanism connected to the actuator and having a long portion and a short portion, a bistable switch mechanism connected to the short portion, and a displacement amplifier mechanism connected to the long portion, wherein the bistable switch mechanism and the displacement amplifier mechanism are substantially parallel to each other, and the displacement amplifier mechanism has a driving portion and is adjacent to a driven portion of the bistable switch mechanism. The switch of the invention requires only one single actuator and thus can reduce the size of components, increase good throughput, simplify operational complexity and achieve the push-on-push-off switch effect. In addition, the displacement amplifier mechanism and the lever mechanism can magnify efficacy of the actuator to increase the energy saving effect.

    Abstract: In a tactile sensing array and its manufacturing method, the tactile sensing array includes first and second electrodes at different layers, conductors provided for cladding intersection positions of the first and second electrodes, and a cladding layer for cladding the first and second electrodes and conductors. Each of the first and second electrodes is a spiral conducting wire wound onto an elastic wire. During manufacture, a cladding layer solution is injected into a mold; first electrodes are installed in rows and apart, and each first electrode includes conductor solution drops; second electrodes are installed at the conductor solution drops; a cladding layer solution is injected again; and vacuum, heating and demolding process are performed. The invention has the effects of high extensibility, high elasticity and low manufacturing cost and prevents damages caused by high deformation when the tactile sensing array is used and covered onto a complicated surface.
