Abstract: Provided herein are methods for treating or preventing obesity and obesity related diseases and disorders. In some embodiments, the methods comprise providing a glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) receptor agonist with a pharmaceutically or nutritionally acceptable carrier to the patient at a maintenance dose lower than a lowest therapeutic dose (LTD) to be administered during a first period, wherein during a second period that overlaps with the first period, the subject is on an insulin modulating nutritional therapy protocol.

Abstract: The present disclosure includes a varmint shield for a wildlife feeder supported by at least one leg. The varmint shield includes a body having a length, a back side and a front side, a top end and a bottom end; and a first side and a second side. A notch is cut in the top end of the body. A plurality of mounting tabs are formed by bending the body at the notch toward the front side, each including at least one hole for receiving a fastening means such as a screw for securing the body to the wildlife feeder. The body of the varmint shield is bent along its length from the top end to the bottom end at an angle sufficient to deflect feed expelled from the wildlife feeder outwardly and away from the wildlife feeder. The body may also include beads formed along its length for structural strength and cuffs folded along its edges. A first shoulder and a second shoulder are preferably cut in the bottom end of the body. The first shoulder and the second shoulder preferably include edges folded to form cuffs.

Abstract: A system for dispensing feed to a feed bunk can include a dispensing unit and a control module. The dispensing unit can include a feed container to receive feed, and one or more dispensing devices operatively coupled to the feed container. The control module can be in communication with the dispensing unit and configured to receive and store sequence data from a central computer system, the sequence data comprising a delivery sequence according to which one or more feed bunks are to be filled, and one or more system inputs. The control module is configured to disable the dispensing unit if any system input does not correspond to the sequence data.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for converting mesenchymal stem cells into endothelial cells by using specific transcription factors and, more specifically, a method for converting mesenchymal stem cells into endothelial cells by using Oct4, Nanog, Tal1, and LMO2, which are specific transcription factors. According to the present invention, the method for converting adult cells or mesenchymal stem cells, which are adult stem cells, into endothelial cells was developed by selecting two types of genes, which are less directly related to cancer induction, among cell reprogramming factors and two types of transcription factors, which are not expressed or expressed at a low level in mesenchymal stem cells, among transcription factors related to vascular development, and combining all four transcription factors. The method can be applied in the production of endothelial cells for forming regenerative tissue in tissue engineering and ischemic disease therapy.

The system and method may include receiving a first data set, the first data set related to an image of a first user data form, wherein the image has been subjected to a data integrity check prior to receipt, generating a second data set, the second data set related to the image of the first user data form, the second data set based at least on an OCR process applied to the first data set, and applying a plurality of business rules to the second data set in order to generate an insurance quotation.

The dish washing machine includes a washing tub, a sump mounted in the washing tub to receive and pump wash water, a sump housing forming an external appearance of the sump, a washing impeller to pump wash water from the sump housing, a drainage channel disposed at an inner edge of the sump housing, a pump motor surrounded by the drainage pump to drive the washing impeller, and a pump motor receiving part to receive the pump motor. The pump motor receiving part protrudes above the drainage channel.

Abstract: The invention is a tablet crusher including a linkage that is operable to bring to bear a force on a platen so as to urge it against an anvil, wherein platen and anvil are shaped so as to bring about a crushing force upon a tablet disposed therebetween. The device comprises: (1) a base; (2) an anvil integrally fixed to the base, the anvil having a concave crushing face; (3) a platen having a convex crushing face, coupled at a pivot to the base so as to be moveable against the anvil; (4) a screw actuator for facilitating movement of the platen against the anvil, the screw actuator having a handle; whereby movement of the handle produces movement of the platen relative to the anvil, for crushing a tablet between the anvil and the platen.

Abstract: An housing is configured for connection to the raceway panels by removing the concrete above the raceway panel, cutting a hole in the raceway panel, and securing the housing in the hole in the raceway panel. Alignment clips allow the afterset housings to be ganged together to form an integral afterset assembly. Each alignment clip is configured to slidably engage with a pair of the afterset housings. In one embodiment, the afterset housing includes a preset housing that is normally configured for connection to the raceway panel prior to pouring of the concrete floor, and an adapter connectable to the preset housing and being constructed to reconfigure the preset for use as an afterset housing which is adapted for connection to the raceway panel following pouring of the concrete floor.
