Abstract: A latch strike mechanism for a dishwasher door to improve drying performance including a housing and a moveable striker projecting from the housing and engageable with a door latch. The moveable striker is slideably engaged with the stationary striker frame and configured to extend to maintain the dishwasher door in a partially open position following a wash cycle to allow controlled air exchange between the interior of the dishwasher and ambient conditions to improve drying performance and/or save energy.

Abstract: An appliance latch for latching an appliance door to an appliance cabinet that includes a housing and a lock bolt positioned to move linearly within the housing between a locked state and an unlocked state. A solenoid is positioned within the housing and includes an integrated magnetic lock, distinct from the lock bolt, to prevent undesired movement from the locked state to the unlocked state and movement from the unlocked state to the locked state.

Abstract: A dishwasher latch configured to be mounted to a dishwasher door and operable with a striker configured to be mounted to a dishwasher tub, the dishwasher latch includes a spring mechanism for drawing the door against the tub and sealing the tub in a latched position when the striker is fully engaged with the dishwasher latch. The dishwasher latch further includes a mouth engageable with the striker and a switch lever positioned at least partially across the mouth and in a path of the striker. A switch actuator is operatively connected to a switch for powering the dishwasher on or off wherein the switch actuator is coupled to the switch lever. A cam is connected between the switch lever and the spring mechanism wherein the cam is coupled to the switch lever when the switch lever is not in contact with the striker.
