  • Publication number: 20230380394
Abstract: A bag having an elongated body and opposite end portions is disclosed. The body has a sidewall that provides the body with a primary opening. The body has an interior region sized for containing crab bait inserted into the interior region via the primary opening. The interior region, bounded by the sidewall, includes a plurality of secondary openings that range from about 1 mm to about 10 mm for attracting at least one crab to the body to feed on the bait contained within the interior region. The body includes a slidably openable and closeable slide fastener which overlays the primary opening and is fixed to the sidewall between the body opposite end portions. The slide fastener, when open, enables bait to be inserted into the interior region and, when closed, retains bait within the interior region.

  • Publication number: 20230135857
Abstract: A bag to contain bait, which is to be used with a trotline, is disclosed. The bag comprises a continuous side wall which defines an interior region, a primary opening, a plurality of secondary openings, and a tertiary opening. The bag includes a slide fastener secured to the side wall and surrounding the tertiary opening. Also disclosed is a mechanism, to be used with a predetermined length of the trotline which has a plurality of such bags secured to the trotline at spaced-apart intervals.

  • Patent number: 10044548
Abstract: A data processing task may be implemented in a distributed computing system by the use of a workflow broken into flowlets that are arranged in a directed acyclic graph between data sources and data sinks. Such an arrangement may include various flow control and/or fault tolerance schemes, among other features.

  • Patent number: 7974873
Abstract: Embodiments are directed towards dynamically determining a merchant to provide just in time (JIT) goods/services/appointments to a mobile customer by seeking to minimize the mobile customer's wait time or optimizing another parameter. A registered user may place an order with a JIT service for a good/server using a mobile device. The JIT service determines a merchant/location that may satisfy the order based on attempting to minimize the user's wait time. At any time before a locktime is reached, the JIT service, the selected merchant location, and/or the user may modify the request. For example, the JIT service may select another merchant location to satisfy the request based on dynamically updating wait times at the selected location and other possible merchant locations, as well as other parameters. The JIT service may also track behaviors of the user to suggest recurring orders, modifications to orders, or changes in merchant locations.

  • Patent number: 7925669
Abstract: The invention provides a method and software for use within audio and video authoring software applications wherein the relationships between the source media files are saved and used as part of a media manager. The software allows the artist to efficiently recall which files were used together, as well as how they were used together musically or visually.

  • Patent number: 5768360
Abstract: A method is described for routing calls outside of a carriers network based on characteristics of the call, the attributes of the caller, the status of subscriber-provided resource, and the status of network telephone provided facilities. Information about the call and the caller's identification is sent from the public switched telephone network to a subscriber call routing processor. The carrier is directed by the routing processor to route the call to the subscriber's resource best able to handle the call. Information about the call and the business relationship the caller has with the subscriber is used by the routing processor to determine which type of resource is needed to handle the call. The routing processor then chooses the particular resource of that type to which the call is to be routed based on the current status of the resource, the status of the network-provided facilities, and the criteria established by the subscriber for selecting between alternative resources.
