  • Patent number: 8963498
Abstract: This specification relates to a charging, securing and monitoring system for hand-held electronic devices such as cell phones, BlackBerry's, PDA's, cameras, or the like and the components therefore. More particularly the teachings herein include a coaxial cable construction that permits securing and charging of said hand-held devices which are on display at a typical retailer. Further the cable may be accumulated on a unique recoiler assembly at one end of the coaxial cable and engages a unique holding device proximate the other end thereof.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: April 23, 2010
Date of Patent: February 24, 2015
Assignee: RTF Research and Technologies Inc.
    Inventor: Joel Ferguson
  • Patent number: 8883009
Abstract: A process for the treatment of water comprising at least the steps of: (a) providing the water in laminar flow; and (b) providing bubblefree aeration to the water. The present invention introduces aerobic treatment into wastewater settlement without any hindrance to the settlement process. The present invention is useable for any settlement step or stage, without limitation, the commonest being primary settlement or final settling.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: December 19, 2008
Date of Patent: November 11, 2014
Assignee: The Queen's University of Belfast
Inventors: Elaine Groom, Simon Murray, Joel Ferguson

  • Patent number: 6883612
Abstract: A rod pump for use in a wellbore is provided. In one embodiment, the rod pump comprises a traveling valve cage attachable to a rod string, the traveling valve cage having a first latch component operatively connected thereto; and a pump housing having a second latch component operatively connected thereto, wherein the first latch component is disposable in latching engagement with the second latch component. The first latch component comprises a surface having a set of grooves, and the second latch component comprises one or more pins.

  • Patent number: 6560736
Abstract: A method for diagnosing bridging faults with inexpensively-obtained stuck-at signatures, in which only those faults determined to be realistic through inductive fault analysis are considered as candidates, match restrictions and match requirements are imposed during matching in order to minimize diagnosis size, and match ranking is applied and the matching criteria relaxed to further increase the effective precision and to increase the number of correct diagnoses. In addition, the method reduces the number of bridging fault candidates by constructing a dictionary of composite signatures of node pairs based on a ranking threshold.
    Type: Grant

Date of Patent: May 6, 2003
Assignee: The Regents of the University of California
Inventors: F. Joel Ferguson, Tracy Larabee, Brian Chess, David B. Lavo
