Abstract: A method that generates notifications for mobile devices based on environmental factors includes detecting an event, determining at least one environmental factor value, and generating a notification based at least partly on the event and the at least one environmental factor value. Notifications for mobile devices are identified, generated, and/or modified based on environmental factors such as location, position, orientation, and proximity to other devices. User feedback may be received and used to generate and update notification profiles.

Abstract: Access of media assets through a network is controlled. An expiration rule associated with a media asset is evaluated (930) utilizing at least one processing unit. Access of the media asset through the network is permitted (940-960), utilizing the at least one processing unit, based on the expiration rule within a first time period if an accessing user is classified in a first rank. Access of the media asset through the network is permitted (940-960), utilizing the at least one processing unit, based on the expiration rule within a second time period if the accessing user is classified in a second rank.

Abstract: A method for automatically managing air space for at least one unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), includes receiving a request associated with the at least one UAV, the request having at least one associated characteristic associated with UAV operation, to access a defined air space having at least one associated requirement. A determination then occurs whether the at least defined air space to be accessed by the UAV is available and if the at least one characteristic of the at least one UAV matches the at least one requirement of the defined air space. If so, then a license is granted to the UAV to authorize to entry of the UAV into the defined air space.

Abstract: A method for making a content recommendation to at least one user commences by first establishing a location for the at least one user. Thereafter a check occurs to determine which devices are available to the at least one user to use (e.g., consume) the content at the location. Next, the content available to the at least one user is determined based on at least the user's location and available devices available to the at least one user. A content recommendation is then made among the available content based on at least one attribute of the at least one user.

Abstract: A method for generating recommendations for a group of users is disclosed. The method includes providing a display of a plurality of user representations respectively representing users; receiving a selection of at least two of the user representations to form a group; providing a display of at least one recommendation for a media asset after the group has been formed; and providing a display of an indicator indicating that a user representation in the group is selected as an allowed user representation in the group for selecting one of the at least one recommendation for receipt by user devices respectively associated with the user representations in the group.
