  • Publication number: 20230194658
Abstract: The present disclosure is directed to simulating patterns of reflected radar energy off of reference objects using motion data associated with these reference objects. This motion data may identify start times, start locations, end times, and end locations of a limited number reference objects in a set of discrete scenes. Each of these discrete scenes may also have a same time duration. Motion of these specific objects between a start time and an end time of each discrete scene may be interpolated. Once the locations of the objects are interpolated for a given scene, simulations may be performed to estimate the appearance of reflected radar signals that would be received by a radar apparatus. These simulations may identify patterns of reflected radar energy after radar signals have been emitted from the radar apparatus and these patterns may then be provided to train a machine learning apparatus.

  • Publication number: 20200150040
Abstract: The present invention is directed to a device consisting of a portable hand-held and battery operated multi-band UVABC light that uses a combination of UVA, UVB, and UVC wavelength band of UV LED emitters. All three types of UV LEDs are energized at the same time or individually to the same at least one target object being at least one smoke collection holder and capturing device having a coated surface that will fluoresce and glow when there is the presence of a wide range of smoke chemical particulates that have been collected, captured, and held in the at least one smoke collection holder and capturing device. This positive detection and confirmation indicates an act of smoking had recently occurred in the space where the at least one smoke collection holder and capturing device was installed, necessitating additional affirmation testing and recovery costs charged back to the smoker or occupant of the space where the act of smoking had taken place.

  • Publication number: 20070136726
Abstract: A tunable processor performance benchmarking method and system (100) estimates candidate software performance on a target processing environment (104) without porting the application. The candidate software's resource consumption is characterized to determine cache hit or miss rates. A test software generator (102) generates test software that is configured to have substantially the same cache miss rates and processor utilization, and its performance is measured when executing on the target processing environment (104). Instruction cache hit rates are maintained for the test software by selectively branching either within a routine (308, 310) that is resident in the instruction cache or to a routine (308, 310) that is not within the instruction cache. Data blocks (332, 334) are also selectively accessed in order to maintain a desired data cache miss rate.
