    Abstract: A cable-guided messenger comprises a solid, one-piece, integral member having a substantially cylindrical shape and an axis, the member having an axially extending throughgoing opening, a transverse slot extending transversely to the axis and communicating with the opening, and two longitudinal slots extending substantially parallel to the axis and communicating with the transverse slot and the opening, so that a messenger can be fitted on a cable by inserting the cable into the transverse slot of the member and then turning the member so that the cable passes through the longitudinal slots and then into the opening.
