Abstract: A toy projectile apparatus which simply yet uniquely employs inertia, a weighted mass to trip a release point trigger release mechanism, and a safety mechanism latched to the weighted mass structure for releasing the mass to trigger shooting of the projectiles. The weighted mass cooperates with a release point trigger release mechanism which includes a trigger linkage and a release point element. The weighted mass will advance/shift/move with the trigger linkage toward a release point element when a force of a certain acceleration is applied to the projectile apparatus by a user.

Abstract: A suspended game piece construction game having a game assembly including a suspended ring assembly to which a plurality of game pieces may be attached in a multitude of different orientations and compositions. A base assembly is placed upon a flat surface, and serves as a support for the rest of the game assembly. An elongated linear member is mounted vertically to the top of the base assembly. A ring assembly is placed about the elongated linear member, and is free to move up and down along the elongated linear member. A top assembly is mounted to the top end of the elongated linear tube, and supports the ring assembly at the top of the elongated linear member during gameplay. A plurality of game pieces have features which allow them to be attached to the ring or to each other. During gameplay, players take turns attaching game pieces to the ring assembly, or to other game pieces that have already been attached. Players attempt to attach the pieces so as to avoid causing the ring assembly to fall.

The hinge assembly includes a flexible strap and biasing element capable of tensioning the flexible strap to maintain the first and second base portions with respect to each other in an open configuration.

Abstract: There is disclosed a tape deck for receiving standardized tape cartridges for data interchange in which the cartridge is accurately positioned by the combination of the forward thrust of a pair of resiliently biased pivot plates working in the notches of the cartridges and the resilient upward thrust of a leaf spring, with the cartridge near the plane of the interface of the recording head with the tape, having precision reference bearing points engaging complementary positioning pins anchored in the deck. The pair of pivot plates are restrained to remain in phase by means of a cross-coupling linkage and means are provided for the automatic ejection of the cartridges.

Abstract: A tape deck for cartridge-encased record tapes in which the cartridge is precisely secured in a predetermined position in the tape deck in relation to its transducer and to the tape drive. The tape drive is interposed in the path of insertion of the cartridge to engage the tape-actuating mechanism in the cartridge when the cartridge is positioned in the deck. A drive motor is remotely disposed with respect to the cartridge and is coupled to the cartridge drive through a belt mechanism which allows displacement of the drive wheel through the agency of a flexural hinge support.
